  • Is this published? Where can i buy this music?

  • @dem12663 We're singing it now. My copy says Plymouth Choral Series, Copyright by Plymouth Music Co. It's out there.

  • A my father died on the 12th of August this year, this In Paradisum brings back memories of his funeral mass. It had always been his fond wish to have In Paradisum sung when leaving church. So no feedback from me, but just letting you know that it brought tears to my eyes again and loving memories of my dad.

  • It's funny so many people mention the Aleatoric section being too fast, because the director decided to make it even faster for the next concert! I agree that that it should be slower, so all of those overtones can be fully absorbed by the audience. Thanks for your replies!

  • Wonderful job! I love this setting and you sound great! Since you're looking for feedback, I thought I'd suggest something. I would concentrate on the horizontal lines at the beginning and end. It sounds a little "chord to chord." No fluid lines. Also, emphasis on the meaning of the text. Accentuate the words the way you would speak them.

Over all though, it was very beautiful! Wonderful overtones in the middle section! I did this with an all-state choir and I'll never forget it! =)

  • I agree with the Aleatoric section. When you slow it down just right, sounds like heaven. I could have stood to hear more bass during that section and generally throughout. Overall though, how can you resist listening to this work. Nice job!

  • Well, I can't say that it's the best one I've heard, but it's definitely beautiful. I agree with chessmanjk that the Aleatoric section went a little too fast. But overall, a VERY beautiful rendition!!! :)

  • It was performed very well. The middle section seemed to go by super fast (which is not much of a statement), and the dynamics during that section was very uniform. Otherwise it was all very good.

  • I'd love to hear feedback! The few people i'd had listen to this prior to uploading all had an amazing time.
