steam trains on a diesel video!

I respect all types of train hobby etc, but mainly like diesels, I have noticed much hostility from the steam only enthusiasts, especially at NYMR.

They dont even say hello sometimes when spoken to if they know ur a diesel man!

So I feel that I should treat them the same, but I dont as I am the civilised one!

I have never encountered this, but have not been to the NYMR for quite some time. In my experience diesel galas are at least as popular as steam ones, if not more so.

although I have heard that the railway that runs from bury is very friendly, is that the east lancashire railway?

I think some steam fans worry that diesels may replace steam again on private lines like on BR!

Fair enough, but all have a place and most tourists who dont have an interest in railways as such always appreciate steam so they need not worry!

Some just like the scenery, my point is, there is space for all!

It mat be nobody likes me!lol!

Excellent video, very evocative of my days at Kings Cross as a passed cleaner in 64-65, I wonder if the cabs of the type 2 Sulzer still smell the same, diesel fuel!
