Do you know the Boat unit number this is? My dad bought the #2 out of the mold. In Rhode Island from Mr Pearson. We lived in Barrington at the time and we kept her moored in the Barrington Harbor. I would be interested to know. I don't know if there is a history of this boat or if there is a tracking of hull numbers. This Boat was the pride and joy of my Dad's. He still talks about it. I have fond memories of sailing to Marblehead, Ma. on the weekends...just for Goofs.

@par4par72 I believe the hull number is like 368... they made about 450 of these boats. Even after moving off of Traveler onto another (roomier) boat, I still believe the Vanguard to be one of the finest boats ever built.

Enjoyed videos...am about to paint top sides and would love just a little guidance. I stripped her along textured walk area. I know sand and remove wax and dirt...with what do you use? Did you prime and was going to use Pettit easy-poxy topside paint. Love to hear it from the hydroponic expert. Nothing like being self-sufficent on a sailboat. I use about 2 gal of diesel a season.
