What he did was completely logical, he did what he could for his teammates, its the same as scoring a goal, you try to win and do whatever you can, he did get a red card and Ghana a penalty, so it was completely fair. Why wouldn't he do it? Because then Ghana should be dissapointed? Makes no sense.
@NikosVEVO What he did made little sense though. You can see from the vid that the ball was going towards his head and he could had easily ward it off with a header if he tried. In the end, all he did was give Ghana a chance to win the match unecessarily, but since Ghana missed the penalty, now he is a hero or something like that. Millions of games are played every day. In almost all those games a goal has been scored where one of the opposing players (not the keeper) could have stopped the goal from happening by punching the ball away. They didn't. Because people value the game more than the win.

What he did was completely logical, he did what he could for his teammates, its the same as scoring a goal, you try to win and do whatever you can, he did get a red card and Ghana a penalty, so it was completely fair. Why wouldn't he do it? Because then Ghana should be dissapointed? Makes no sense.

In the end, all he did was give Ghana a chance to win the match unecessarily, but since Ghana missed the penalty, now he is a hero or something like that. I would be ok if the hand ball was actually needed to prevent that goal, but it wasn't.

@shogunsetsu he took no risks. he probably couldve cleared it with his head but in that situation, in the heat of the moment, he panicked. in the end, though i feel bad for ghana, suarez is neither a saint nor a devil: he did what at the moment he thought was necessary to win, a tactical foul, and did not do so to try to deceive. he got punished rightly and ghana did it to themselves in the end by missing penaltes. i do think perhaps the rules should be changed to allow a "goaltending" goal.
