  • @Howgotit33

Those are basic counter sink bits..as long as you know the size you need,.you can pick one up at lowes

  • man that would be terrible if the wood split

  • Thanks for the Help As My Husband is Going to do it himself :-)

  • Were do I get the Special Drill ends and what size are They ?

  • @Howgoit33 I think you have to get them online. Only a few websites sell them, midway USA being one. Instead of paying 15 bucks for a special drill bit I am going to countersink the hole myself. Use a 23/64" drill bit to a depth of 1/4". Shouldn't be too hard, just be careful not to drill too deep.

  • Can you use just a normal vise and normal drillbits?

  • Looks like "The Outdoor Connection Sling Swivel Stud Step Drill Bit Set" and some uncle mike's studs. all found on midwayusa.

  • Can somebody tell me what drill bits those are?

  • @bjpw1234 you could get them at midwayusa there made just for installing sling swivels

  • Larry is the best!

Thanks for aa the great tips.

  • Does the same process and tools apply to synthetic stocks as well?
