@btnheazy03 yes..but having muscles doesnt mean looking big..you ever saw a huge guy with really big muscles swim?..or run a 100 meter race?..i havent..and maybe his muscles arent toned..either way..i know dogen has muscles..cause if he didnt he couldnt trick that good..check out his videos and see what i mean..
PS: every sport has its own muscle type..some sports need big arms..some need skinny..some sports need strong legs..some need strong arms..
@btnheazy03 i don't think this is about building big and showy muscles. if you watched any other videos by Dogen, you'd know he makes tutorials related to tricking only
@btnheazy03 no you idiot, he is not making tutorials to look like arnold schwarzenegger you idiot. if he would do that he would just grabbed some heavy weights and just did some sets...
(My private reply wont go thru.) I didn't need an explanation of what isometrics are, my point is: 'range of motion' is incorrect language for the circumstances & using the word 'increase' makes it worse. There is no motion, there is no increase of range, those words are imprecise at best, misleading at worst. The correct term is to increase or decrease the -angle of flexion-. That may seems a little esoteric to some, but they'd get used to it if trainers began using correct language.
Shinna Ringo Lead singer of Tokyo Jihen of japan. Its shinna ringo solo stuff and the other track is tokyo jihen. as for tracks look em up. They are awesome. worth listening too
@ the author. great guide.
@ Ctown... Crawl out your own prison. Or rot in it. up to you. but dont bash
You should do some research Ctown325 and you would realize you can do Isometrics with weight lifting, and even alone it can produce a lot of results very quickly. Read online (today actually) Bruce Lee does Isometics and then there was a list of others that have done them as well as weight lifting. Think back to times when there were no weights, that was all isometrics, and some do not have the space or money for weights, so don't bash them
Not really, Bruce Lee did isometrics to prepare for his one inch punch and Mas Oyama did isometrics (creator of kyokushin karate) and the beauty of isometrics is that you get stronger but your muscles shape doesn't change.
Weight lifting will make you bigger, but isometrics do work and you shouldn't diss them. If you do isometrics after a weight training session you will go huge man and very strong.
weight lifting wont make you bigger, its possible to lift weights and not be bulky!
theres two different types of muscular hypertrophy, sarcoplasmic and myofibrillar!
sarcoplasmic will give you bulky useless muscles, myofibrillar will give you dense strong muscles! message me if you want more information on how to get these if you want!
Shut it geek. I was talking weights vs isometrics. You're talking about something else. Yeah sure you CAN train with weights and not get bigger (very low weight, high reps) But the majority of people who train with weights WANT to get bigger dumbass. Not big like a powerlifter but bigger AND toned at the same time. If you wanna lift weights and just bea toned skinny fuck then just go on the rowing machine loser it will do the job much better. The rest of us train for size AND strength.
If you do low reps and high weight(1-50 you won't get much bigger because you are training either explosive strength, or general strength. Reps of 6-8 will gain muscle mass and and strength, and anything from 9-15 will gain just muscle mass. Above that will increase muscle endurance or speed.
Of course taking in a lot of protein, calories, and carbohydrates can affect your size. But generally speaking, strength volumes increase size to a minimum compared to hypertrophy exercises.

I don't think I understand this... Is he just flexing his muscle harder and harder or something, or pushing against things?
co2cart 2 years ago
there are explanations at the beginning of the video
thecamlayton 2 years ago
@co2cart according to him, isometrics is contracting your muscle against an immovable force, as opposed to weight training where you lift the weights
btnheazy03 1 year ago
Is there some site where I can find more about this way of training? I really want to prepare myself well for my training to become a tricker.

Terminology is wrong; You can't "increase your range of motion" doing isometrics: There is no motion.
lazur1 3 years ago
Overall range of motion, or motion spanned across the whole exercise.
The feet exercises, there technically is no motion but it trains the muscles to the location in that muscle's range of motion.
sirBUNSWICK 2 years ago
Can you put that in other words? I don't understand what you said.

First song isn't technically Shiina Ringo as it is a duet with Saito Neko

No you mentioned that the second song isn't Shiina Ringo. Which is true but by the same logic, neither is the first.
