  • What a beautiful performance.

  • very eloquent : resonating with the music and its expression!

  • @scarnaby, the statement that Gould's performance makes more sense to you says nothing at all about the quality of this performance.

  • It's a shame that nowadays this way of playing Baroque music is lost.

  • Pure Beauty!!!

  • Dear Scarn,Yours is a very thoughtful & polite reply which I respect greatly...

because you are speaking intimately to me without attempting to dismiss me,and or that which is different from you.I share a lot of your reaction...but feel differently about it.Gould is a master of the outside.Feinburg

of the ...in.We each make our own worlds,&

while Gould's makes plenty of sense,It rarely delights me.My favorite Gould is the Art of the fugue contrapunctus 1 on Youtube.

  • wow didn t Flier study with him?

  • No. Flier was Konstantin Igumnov's student.

Among Feinberg's students the most known are Aptekarev, Emelianova, Merjanov, Zuzin (completely blind pianist), Natanson.

  • I only know Merjanov of those guys. Have the others made any recordings? Also, please upload more Feinberg!!!

  • Now, smithsherman, you have to explain: why very hard to make music from -- and in what way light years beyond Gould??

  • you are a stinking fool
