I really don't know how it got there, but this song has been on my computer and has been played from time to time when I turn on my shuffle, and I've always loved it. I decided to look it up tonight. I just wanted to say that I really love your work. :)
Wonderful piece just like all the others. Drums were a bit loud in comparison to the other instruments, but that's something that's easily taken care of.
I love this song, but hate the random rock part (thats just me) too bad writing a version without the rock part is stealing :( i still love this song tho.
@69guitarchick it would be stealing if you claim to have written it, however if you are just performing it then it can be considered as a cover. And i dont think Freddie will really care if you cover it.
I love your music, is like a fusion of modal and tonal music that you are making right? Sounds pretty good. With Complex Rhythmical Structures and Lots of variation of Chords O:
wow everytime i listen to this song i melt!!!! you are amazing.. it has it's own unique sound but i can relate alot of riffs to dream theater.. not a bad thing at all ;)

Man... I can't even place this sound in relation to any band. You've got such a unique tone with this piece. I'm blown away man... I guess if I had to pick one... strangely... Kansas comes to mind. I really can't explain why though.
The album was great, but like another person commented, Louis Abramson's drum track provided a different feel which was a bit more comfortable IMO. It's a shame you didn't keep it.
This could be an original YES song, no doubt... such quality ... it reminds me 90125, from the good old days of Trevor Rabin...
Have you heard of Arjen Anthonty Lucassen, and his projects, Ayreon, Star One? I absolutelly love "The Company of Franz B Coq" , "My house on Mars" songs....
Did what you suggested and will continue to do... meaning give this time to grow on me......the style of this sort of reminds me of Yes..... which I have been spoon fed since a baby! Sort of gave me a Close To The Edge kinda feel... ok.. I'm probably confusing the heck outta you.... LOL... so... this is definitely the type of video I need to watch a few times to "take it all in"....really complex &.. GREAT job. ♥ Emily
@Freddie25 It just gave me that whole feel... syncopated yet not... gives me the same :"feel" as close to the edge... ok.. that probably makes no sense...ok wait.. starting at 1:34.....there is a definite complex yes feel...... i guess that's just my take... shrug... it's REALLY REALLY good... i like all the layers. Em
@Freddie25 I felt like I heard a little bit of Yes-like influence around/after the solo at 2:20-2:37 Or maybe just prog in general, which you certainly like :)
Really good but I think that the vocals would be better if you made a separate track just for them. Honestly, you sing very well, but it's harder when you're concentrating on something else.
I agree with you on the unconventional music subject. Theres something about music that stands out from the crowd, especially since one of the main things I like in music is something that can move me, and I definitely think a bit unconventionally lol... I have to say, I'm a huge fan of your acoustic work, so I love how this piece really combines it well with a more modern element, yet it still manages to compliment the accoustic work in its own right. Very well done, I hope we see more like it.
Don't worry about people not liking this style. Tons of people like it. Although if you're next album has half this style and half more conventional stuff, you may split your fanbase
Someone was complaining about Fredde's lyrics on his latest video. Um, how about listening to these lyrics? It's like he said, that ballad is meant to be simpler. This is where it's at.
I remember the first time I heard this, which was last summer so one year ago. I had the tingling feeling of "This is so immensely good I don't know what to do with myself." I've never heard music like this before. It's exactly the kinda sound I'd love to have. I read on your blog that this was your first fully composed song. Well God, if YOU can do it, I can too, right?? Needless to say I bought this on iTunes, will buy your album, and will promote it!
damn. this song is great. the only thing that i think could be changed, is the drums. take it easy on them. you have a great drummer, but he goes a bit crazy lol.
Dude I love you. Daniel Gildenlow?? he's my favorite prog rock singer ever. I'm so glad you're influenced by the right people. Your album is gonna be ridiculously amazing. SO pumped.
What? he doesn't play drums??? What a pity, he would be a complete artist, haha. Really, you blew my mind away. This song is amazing! Since Dream Theatre came out that I don't hear this nice variations
with the thousands of instruments you can play im suprised drums isnt one of them btw when u get famous how are you going to tour? better start growing some extra arms lol.
Reminds me of early Genesis-Albums like "Watcher Of The Skies". I'm impressed because here are no Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Toni Banks or Mike Rutherford - it's "only" you. You are amazing!

@robertjm194 I only see traces of dream theater here. This is much more. It's much fresher, less metal, more full of ideas and unusual instruments than DT was in the last decade. Progressive pop mixed with folk and heavy guitars/drums and more. Fredde is just awesome.

This is great. In fact all of your videos are. Killer Queen is also fantastic, but its very cool hearing your own composition. You are lucky to have found such an excellent drummer too! If you don't know of them already, I strongly suggest you check out Project RnL on YouTube, (listen to Wake first) they are also amazingly talented muscicians/songwriters/producers.
You really write some beautiful stuff. It's awesome to ssee someone who makes new and interesting music, and who really enjoys what they do. Also, you're pretty cute :) You really ought to get more attention than you do. I'd much rather hear you on the radio than Justin Beiber... keep up the good work! :)

You should turn the volume of the drum track down. I couldn't hear the acoustic or bass guitar after it started.

Beautiful brother. Has a Dream Theater feel and early Genesis vibe. Mythical, synchopated and beautiful.

You really write some beautiful stuff. It's awesome to ssee someone who makes new and interesting music, and who really enjoys what they do. Also, you're pretty cute :) You really ought to get more attention than you do. I'd much rather hear you on the radio than Justin Beiber... keep up the good work! :)

Why did I discover you just now>? I like how you like your music. The weirdness of it gives it edge and heart and character, which pretty much sums up why I'm your new fan. Peace and love, bro
