I invent the Future of Solar Light technology ! There is nothing worldwide even come close to my Prototypes ! It saved 80%-90% of Material and Costs! It also can be used to grow up Foot! Full Waterproof also and a complete Solar revolution! I hope i find an Investor to bring it on the Market! have a look on my Chanel if you like the working Prototypes! It es already Patent Pending! With my Invent its first Time possible to use Solar technology in Areas where they now Solar only from TV!
Does anyone know if a charge controller like this will go from battery to load? In other words if you use this controller with solar panels and you hook your grid tie inverter to the load, when the sun is gone does the "load" get it's power from the battery bank then?
I'm looking for a way to use solar power during the day while charging my batteries and then when the sun goes down run off batteries until they run out. Thanks!
@helloman1976 any and all charge controllers.( even if they dont have a "LOAD" connection pull power from the batteries! THe solar panels help power the items, but the panels alone dont power items during the day and the batteries at night. THe panels and bats are connected internally in the charge controller! Talk to someone who knows this stuff b-4 you buy! Joe
I recently purchased the SunSaver TrakStar MPPT charge controller and the SureSine power inverter from Affordable Solar. I got my stuff in 2 days, and it's THE BEST purchase I've made for myself all year!
And I agree, the guys at Affordable Solar are the bomb! They helped me a lot, too. I highly recommend both Affordable Solar and the Morningstar units! And I'm not getting paid to say a DAMN thing. I'm saying it because it's true! Call them up and see for yourself!
hi dan i am dino from hastings u.k. i am an electrician and i want to starty installing pv sistems i don t have previous experience in that field, what do you raccomand for being successfull in this sector, i mean to have the right starting approch to solar pannel sistem and to mantain low prices for the customers, can you raccomand a firm that is price affordable to buy the components? thanx
i got a question...how do u synchronize the batteries to make them from a 12 volt to 24 volt...u connect positive to negative or positive to positve?....
@ginostatus you would connect 2 batteries positive to negative. then you would use the positive from the one battery and the negative from the other..
You appear to be at the top end of your usage limit, Expansion will be needed sooner rather than later, Definitely beef up your storage to cope with the new panels you will no doubt be thinking of.
Yes it can be done, but your inverter input voltage should be 12 or 24 volt system, ofcourse there are inverter availabble where the charge controller is part of inverter and you can connect the charge controller output for charging the battery unit. these are battery backup inverter. I think Xantrex company has those inverter.
I had my 15M wired to my inverter with no issues. I contacted MorningStar regarding this and they stated it was not a supported/recommended method. The down side to not wiring it to the inverter is i wont know the load i'm pulling.
@cod4369 get a meter and a shunt to see what your doing! I recomend one with memory! I use the Trimetric 2020 and the IPN pro remote for my Bluesky 3024il! adjustable on/off voltages or amp hours/ lighting control/ low voltage disconnect/ battery AH used (over the life of the bats) You have to know your loads and chargings! running an inverter that can draw more than 20-30 amps thrugh the load of a chargecontroller this small is not good! If in doubt..... go bigger! Joe

This one isn't an MPPT controller right? Any reason why you chose that vs. MPPT?

How about solar heat controllers?
Do you have them as well?
