@ruk1990II am satisfied with the 2.66GHz but I wanted a little more, just to test it,but I encountered a problem,I have a MSI G41M4 plate, and we do not allow any overclocking, the only thing I managed to move the FSB to 333 to 339 and got a 2.70 ghz,I thought that the problem is decreased to bIOS so I flash bios, put the latest version but still impossible to achieve higher oc, I hope we'll help you, at no time system performance but did not start the computer works but no picture on the monitor.
Ciao! ho la stessa mobo e stesso procio, ma dissi non particolare..La ram è a 800mhz cl4 mi pare. Se metto i settaggi come i tuoi dici che è stabile? Ma tu lo tieni così sempre il pc? E' stabile e sicuro? grazie!
I am now planning to buy p5k Mboard and e6750, What do you think about it's preformance in Gaming? Can it run games like Battlefield 2142 or Bad company? :)
@xBeerkOff With this config and a HD4850, on a 1680*1050 I run Battlefield BC2 on Max setting with 2AA! But now is old, for the same money you should go with AMD! IF you want to spend like 300$ for cpu and mobo go Intel i7, but if you want spend like 200$ or less go for AMD! Nice mobo AM3 like 70/80$, Phenom II X4 or Athlon II X4 from 80 to 150$ - Phenom II X2 or Athlon II X2 from 50$ to 100$! ;)
@xBeerkOff No no! Locked mean... that the phenom X2 or X3 is a X4 and if you are lucky you CAN unlock the others core to have a quad core! However AMD makes the Black Edition CPUs. That have the unlocked multiplier and you can oc it a lot! :D I'm going to buy a new am3 setup with a Phenom II X6 3.2Ghz, and overclock it to 4Ghz! Yes in the next months the X6 will be released :D:D:D
a 40% is the power supply... Infact if you have a low power supply... that hasn't enough ampere and watt yoo are limited in overclock... but it happens only for really big OC and only if the psu is on the limit...
If you have DDR2 800 is 5-5-5-15/18 up tu 900Mhz! And the voltage of 1.9/2.0 is ok! On stock it should be 1.8!
The e6750 has 1.35v as default... on 3.2 i've a downvolt 1.32v! On 3.5Ghz i've set 1.38v... on 3.6 up tu 1.4v i think! But also 1.38 is ok with a lo tof chip...
if you have 1066 ram. put the ram to 500Mhz and the cpu also to 500Mhz., ram volt at stock. cpu vcore @ 1.45! You have a 4Ghz monster! Or 475, 3.8Ghz!
you are italian?? However... not the aumont of memory... the speed! You have tu put the ram to a determinate frequency... like the video... or the OC won't be stable ;)
'cause you sad giga... and in italian giga is the most used way to say gigabyte.. LoL!!
If you se the video... i also put the ram to the frequency nearest to 800Mhz! So... if you have 1066 you have to put the ram near 1066... if you have 800 near 800... ect ect... ok?
@PCHDGamer no problem

I OC my Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66 at 3.50 stable in Prime95
Also you may need a bigger cooler than the stock one.
The ram is 800MHz ddr2 OC to 876,works great,thanks to Tom's Hardware

Nice my E6750 is @ 3,4Ghz (slightly more)
FSB-457
cpu voltage -1,6525
8gb mushkin @ 857Ghz 4-4-4-12
you guys can try these values also
Also don't worry about this going wrong E6750 can go up to 4Ghz it's the best c2d for overclock
If something goes wrong remove CMOS battery from your motherboard

@graffitiphat
You're right but you have to have 1066 ram or more...
ruk1990 1 year ago
@ruk1990 Yeah actually my mobo supports up to 800Mhz but this is why I got 1000Mhz ram
also Mushkin is really good ( I got RedLine DDR2)

Well i've watched some Unlocking before and after....I didnt noticed any improvements in benchmarks X_X like from x2 to x4...
I still love your CPU the most, Wich is e6750 :D i think it's more than needed for todays games :D

depend on the ram and the type of the ram! If you have value ram is difficult to oc it! If you have elite or extreme ram is better for oc!

1.55v for the north bridge isnt too much??
vicveco 2 years ago
@vicveco No it' ok! Stock voltage is 1.25 +- 10% so it's only + 0.30 +-10%! It's stable!! Tell me if you have problem! ^_^

I have 450WAT so it was quite useless..
so anyways i was more interested in the timing control and voltage .. i touched that before and i got an epic fail...
how do you know what to change?

I have stable 3.2Ghz with stock voltage..
when i decreased down to 1.32 it fails...
but i bought special cooler for VGA and CPU so i want massive speed.. i try to get 3.7Ghz.. anywayz i'll try your settings soon...
