Great idea, but i must tell you that some of theise things can't be done (at leased not in the beta), for exsample getting thing to move from one layer to another.

They CAN be done with the beta. You wouldn't necessarily need multiple layers, the heads behind moving into bushes could be quite thin, and therefore not interfere with gameplay. Also, the moving spike effect could be done with that patch of ground being higher, and the spikes lower, on an unseen bolt in the ground pivoting up and down with a simple mechanism. With the right textures you could easily make the layered effect, even if you aren't that good at 3d objects, you can use a texture.
Exactly, as I said, it could be just on the very borderline between one layer and the next. The fire could be still fired, and as it fires through the back to the front of the layer, it could give the illusion of multiple layers.
It's just running and jumping thus far, which is fine, but you might want to extend the level a bit and add in a few platforming segments that require grabbing. Maybe a swinging rope over one of the chasms?
Can't wait to play with ya' on LBP. Huzzud is my PSN.
