I believe the OWS movement is not particularly impressed with opportunistic predators (as so many capitalists, and even communists are.) Last time I looked, every human being started out as a defenseless dependent child, nurtured by its Mother for at least the first thirteen years of its life to thereinafter suffer from various bouts of illness, culminating in the defenseless elder. In short, your political systems are off the mark, out of sync with natural human development.

Abolitionists were not accepted by the majority of Americans as being fundamentally American (evidenced by the fact that Britain abolished slavery much earlier) until after they had won the majority over.

Politically most people are disenfranchised. There is no 3rd or 4th party. The demopublicans set up so many barriers so they have no competition. And so neither will stoop to help Occupy and will only promise change after the election which they never deliver. The current system is intransigent. Need term limits like 12 years for senators and 10 years for reps, maybe less. Maybe need people referendums so the people can veto bad laws themselves.

Demands ? I thought that was quite clear.
1. Bring back Glass-Steagal & enforce
2. Declare corporations not people, and ban corporate lobbying and political donations.
3. Prosecute the massive system bank & stock market fraud
4. Single payer healthcare (not Obamacare)
5. Stop the illegal wars & protect our own borders & coasts. You could cut military by 75-90%
6. Make college loans subject to the same consumer safeguards as other loans such as allowing bankruptcy & limits on interest.
