  • just in case people are wondering, that is NOT australian accent. no offense :)

  • no offense but your accent sounds more like the German accent. alot of Z in every sentences you speak.

  • @danchimviet1 Nah, I'm Asian-Australian and that definitely sounds like an Aussie accent. Also, I was born in Australia but lived in Germany for a while because of my mum's job and it doesn't sound like a German accent (I can speak German) =P

  • Australasian?

  • Ever thought of AAA (Anglo Aussie Asian)?

Anglo because of what you are inside. Face it, you aussie asians are completely white inside

Aussie because you guys are Australians!

Asian because of what you are outside and proud of that lineage and heritage.

  • "Face it, you aussie asians are completely white inside"

    Care to elaborate on that?

  • Yeh mate, I can help. Type in the Tag 'Asian Australian' or "Asian Australian" , complete with the comma's. On my uploads you will find the tags are connected by an underline allowing me to be more specific. Let us know how you go.

  • Some people put a period. And when that is searched, it acts like seperate words.

    like "community.channel"

  • The Best advice I can give you. Just don't put asian in the name. Should you really nescessary to identify yourself as asian. I think it's best to broaden your identity to cover more people. Americans typically are very inclusive. We feel uncomfortable when people travel in a homogenous racial group. Americans feel uncomfortable when this happens. It gives a false sense of a barrier.

  • Thats not just an american thing its the internet. I remember seeing a statistic that in the late ninties about 80 percent of the internet was porn based. Now its like 30 percent with the creation of Blogs and Social networking. Also be aware some keywords might link you to Some racist asian sights made by asian americans against white people. People saying white people are the direct descendants of monkey's and the like.

  • It would be funny if you do Chinese accent like Russell Peters!

  • I like the hand gestures near the end! Pretty funny, but does non-verbally communicate the point!

  • I think you and Jen are witty and funny. In fact, I think I will subscribe to your vlog.

  • some good keywords could be AA or ABC

my group of Asian Australian cultural producers have started to use AA to diff us from the American Born Chinese ... and also its more inclusive of those not born there - another good keyword could be AustralAsian which I myself am trying to pioneer and further in popular venacular :) ... so feel free to use it too! AustralAsian

  • i just call myself australian, and call the anglos, whiteboys or australian they don't get angry.

australians are always rude to each other, the ritual is to be rude back and then everybdoies happy

  • hmm well to start with : you could improve the framing of the camera

  • Read the title. Hes Australian.

  • "I can't be cute."

    Your honesty is comical.

    "Showing..." *tugs shirt* "a lot."

  • This guys funny. Nice vid.

  • I meant "put", not "but" in the first line.

  • LOL, but "funny" as a tag, because that's what you surely are. I had problems keeping up with your fast speech (and Australian accent) but then it just normalized and I understood it all.

    I'm subscribing too! :]

  • ...well you could hurt yourself, that's always popular. But it'd be hard to make more than a few videos (with luck on your side).

A cool intro thingy that gets across the essence of the vlog. Or you could hire a comedy writer and just try to slip you story in between cheap jokes...

  • Haha, try and get your videos more popular than those miming guys and the softcore porn. Hard work, but it'd be worth it!

  • Your accent..and you are just sexy..O__O*

  • Haha I like your 'to mix' gesture!:D

  • Gday mate I sum how stumbled upon this. And now im just wondering what ya doing in USA. Is it work?

  • haha. loved ure 'i cant be cute' part.

  • I love the full body input i.e. the not mixing in... Very Cute!

  • Hey Luke,

I'm pretty new to vlogging as well, and I do indeed have a few issues. First of all I'm too monotonous - which means I can't do skits, and I find it harder to articulate infront of a camera - even though I handle public speaking well in real life.

What you have going for you is your Australian Accent - Australians do well on YouTube!, your "couple" vlog - point of view from a couple instead of one person. It's all dandy and interesting to me =)

    I'm subscribing!

  • Heya XeosCeleres, thanks so much for your response. I would have to agree that as boys, we generally have a harder time getting the massive following. Jen and I are finding this a lot of fun; it's almost like a little competition between Jen and I!

Liked your video response a lot, and thanks for the encouragement. I will keep an eye out for your posts too! cheers, Luke
