Do not rely on ORvR in Tiers 1-3 to reliably level to 40.
Even the scenarios are a jerk off.. there are level 55 champ guards in the respawns.. so once you face an enemy with fetch, enjoy being teleported into their respawn and suicide via guards.

Yea, I want to know that too. If you get to 40 (max lvl) as a, lets say, High Elf and want to go to the greenskins instead of killing Dark Elves in your "countries" RvR area. Instead of killing them only in Scenarios.

RvR is the best kind of PvP I can think of, and Mythic has got it down perfectly... look at DAoC as an example...I mean..to capture and hold Relics (in DAoC mind you...) for the benefit of ALL gameplay (PvE / PvP)... I can't wait until this game comes out, it looks to be truly amazing and actually deliver what it says =)

Yes, you will be able to level up completely by PvP alone. Or PvE. Or a mix of both. How you want to play is ultimately in your hands. They have stated the most efficient way is by a mix of both.

I don't like the idea of scenarios. By the look of things, they are going to make them count MUCH more than any other method. That's all 70% of players care about. Then when you have 30% getting aggrivated by the lack of rewards involved in other forms of play, they will join scenario and there you have it. World pvp dies, just like in wow.
I played DaoC, I play WoW, and i must say, this looks like a badass mix of the two greatest MMO's ever made. It has the PvE of WoW and the great PvP of DaoC. My only hope is that the developer (Mythic) will not screw up this game like they did with DaoC by adding too many crappy uneeded expansions.

yes, although this is much more worth your money. i was shown at a games day and just from 40 minutes of watching i could tell that it is around 3-4 times better than WoW. And this game isnt even finished yet.
WoW really sucks now, in AV 20 people are usually AFk. the wait time for BG's is now 30+ mins. blizz doesnt fix any of this because they really dont care, they know you retards wont stop playing. and world pvp realy sucks in WoW. and some classes are WAY overpowered and the others always lose in fights.
They gimped AV before the cross realm BG came out, which sucked big time. It's a lame zerg race now that's totally imbalanced towards ally. Probably because people were crying about their marks of honor because the game takes too long, thus screwing over the people that wanted to play epic hours long battles for the actual fun of it.
skirmishes pretty much normal pvp but not in a unique gamespace
and battlefirleds is pretty much what its like in WOWs Outland those 3 pvp buildings in the middle and if u capture them you get a bonus which is in WAR victory points.
so yeha its looks like an awesom game im getting it for sure.
this game is gonna be awsom, not like WoW were you can make a low lvl char and send it good items so it can take 4 other low lvls at a time. thank you god for this game =-) and the macanics are awsom. and now you have to wait 30 mins to get into a BG in WoW, this one you have to wait for about 1 min
yes dwarfs elfs and empire can all go into each others tier zones to help out thier factions imidiatley, however after aproximatley 10 hours of gameplay u get sent to one of your allies tier zones anyway :) hope that helps
Yeah! DAoC had such a sweet skill system for PVP and RVR. I hope it's not limited to items... And I love how you're able to level up through PVP just like DAoC! Warcraft sucks 'cause as a PVP player, I don't get any experience or skills, just new items, bleh.
You can loot an enemy players corps like a mob, you will not loot THEIR loot but randomly generated loot as said like a mob. further you are in their territory (their city in end game for example) the better loot is generated.
hm, scenarios (instances) are the most fun, balanced and bla bla kind of pvp and count most, so, speaking clearly, if you seriously want to conquer the enemy´s capital you and your guildgroup, or who ever you play with, will have to farm those instances the whole day.
well, first of all u dont have to do only the scenarios. Second, its not like u and your group has to do it all by urself. Other groups will be pvping with u or even when your not logged on. one day u could be capturing the neutral zone and then the next day ur sacking the city.
there wont be any uber guild that single handely gains enough points so that your faction can sack the enemies city, they in fact will be a small portion of the pvp points your faction earns as a whole, sure your guild can go farm instances, but if the other faction is just plain better at pvp and pvp's more (not even in the instances) then it wont make any diffrence the other team will advance to the next tiers
This is very interesting coming from someone who just quited WoW. The PvP in WoW is a joke to say the least. Anyone who has played WoW knows what I'm talking about when I say the arena and competition was poorly designed. I'm very interested in the outcome of this game and will be keeping my eye out.
there will be systems in place to even out the population. anyway, as you can see from the video, scenarios count the most for control of a zone and the computer will add NPCs mercs to even out the battles if there aren't enough players.
not exactly. "Capturing" a low tier zone isn't the same as capturing a tier 4 zone. The short version is that there will always be places in the low tier zones where you can't be attacked by enemy players. low tiers are mostly PvE with some PvP, the reverse is true in the high tiers.
For those of you complaining that the open PvP areas look too small, keep in mind they border the enemy's zone and you can cross over to capture objectives in hostile territory. This game looks fun to me, I can't wait to kick some dwarf butt!
this game mite not work if more people prefer one side to the other mite be because of looks or aroumr it wont balance out the teams in RvR ( not including Scneirio) so mite end up as one side always winning and gaining more points

There were a lot of people who were concerned that all or most PvP would be in the scenarios/instanced areas. It looks like there will be a fair amount of both types of PvP (instanced and non) - - and THAT IS GREAT NEWS!

The bottom line is this, They didnt incorporate anything to draw people into AND populate the RvR lakes.
The lakes are sparse. Lesson learned (i think) DONT DESIGN A GAME WHERE THE RVR LAKES = 15% OF THE TOTAL GAME WORLD. (no mobs, 3-4 quests, hollow)
god how could they have fucked this game up so horribly..
The Keeps arent in strategic points, they are afterthoughts, you can get around them if you want.

It looks like the game forces you to PvP, which I think is way cool, but those PvE people on WoW might not enjoy it.

Actually you can never enter into pvp if you choose - contribution can be through pve or pvp effort the choice is entirely yours.

yes, although this is much more worth your money. i was shown at a games day and just from 40 minutes of watching i could tell that it is around 3-4 times better than WoW. And this game isnt even finished yet.

WoW really sucks now, in AV 20 people are usually AFk. the wait time for BG's is now 30+ mins. blizz doesnt fix any of this because they really dont care, they know you retards wont stop playing. and world pvp realy sucks in WoW. and some classes are WAY overpowered and the others always lose in fights.

They gimped AV before the cross realm BG came out, which sucked big time. It's a lame zerg race now that's totally imbalanced towards ally. Probably because people were crying about their marks of honor because the game takes too long, thus screwing over the people that wanted to play epic hours long battles for the actual fun of it.

scenarios are like Alterac
skirmishes pretty much normal pvp but not in a unique gamespace
and battlefirleds is pretty much what its like in WOWs Outland those 3 pvp buildings in the middle and if u capture them you get a bonus which is in WAR victory points.
so yeha its looks like an awesom game im getting it for sure.

this game is gonna be awsom, not like WoW were you can make a low lvl char and send it good items so it can take 4 other low lvls at a time. thank you god for this game =-) and the macanics are awsom. and now you have to wait 30 mins to get into a BG in WoW, this one you have to wait for about 1 min

yes dwarfs elfs and empire can all go into each others tier zones to help out thier factions imidiatley, however after aproximatley 10 hours of gameplay u get sent to one of your allies tier zones anyway :) hope that helps

Yeah! DAoC had such a sweet skill system for PVP and RVR. I hope it's not limited to items... And I love how you're able to level up through PVP just like DAoC! Warcraft sucks 'cause as a PVP player, I don't get any experience or skills, just new items, bleh.

You can loot an enemy players corps like a mob, you will not loot THEIR loot but randomly generated loot as said like a mob. further you are in their territory (their city in end game for example) the better loot is generated.

hm, scenarios (instances) are the most fun, balanced and bla bla kind of pvp and count most, so, speaking clearly, if you seriously want to conquer the enemy´s capital you and your guildgroup, or who ever you play with, will have to farm those instances the whole day.

well, first of all u dont have to do only the scenarios. Second, its not like u and your group has to do it all by urself. Other groups will be pvping with u or even when your not logged on. one day u could be capturing the neutral zone and then the next day ur sacking the city.

there wont be any uber guild that single handely gains enough points so that your faction can sack the enemies city, they in fact will be a small portion of the pvp points your faction earns as a whole, sure your guild can go farm instances, but if the other faction is just plain better at pvp and pvp's more (not even in the instances) then it wont make any diffrence the other team will advance to the next tiers

This is very interesting coming from someone who just quited WoW. The PvP in WoW is a joke to say the least. Anyone who has played WoW knows what I'm talking about when I say the arena and competition was poorly designed. I'm very interested in the outcome of this game and will be keeping my eye out.

there will be systems in place to even out the population. anyway, as you can see from the video, scenarios count the most for control of a zone and the computer will add NPCs mercs to even out the battles if there aren't enough players.

Do you start off in Teir 1? I'm confused, if you do doesn't that mean if the enemy captures it then you'll start off in their country? o.o

not exactly. "Capturing" a low tier zone isn't the same as capturing a tier 4 zone. The short version is that there will always be places in the low tier zones where you can't be attacked by enemy players. low tiers are mostly PvE with some PvP, the reverse is true in the high tiers.

For those of you complaining that the open PvP areas look too small, keep in mind they border the enemy's zone and you can cross over to capture objectives in hostile territory. This game looks fun to me, I can't wait to kick some dwarf butt!

this game mite not work if more people prefer one side to the other mite be because of looks or aroumr it wont balance out the teams in RvR ( not including Scneirio) so mite end up as one side always winning and gaining more points

i think not ..warhammer is around 25 years and there are milions of fans of each side...on forums u can read how many ppl prefer order and destruction ...i quess its gonna be balanced....usually wfrp fans prefer good ones and wfb fans bad ones:p but not always:D i personally know lots of m8s who love dwarf or he army:D

If I'm not mistaken, that's the Chaos vs. Empire tier 1, in the higher tiers the zones become more and more RvR.

There were a lot of people who were concerned that all or most PvP would be in the scenarios/instanced areas. It looks like there will be a fair amount of both types of PvP (instanced and non) - - and THAT IS GREAT NEWS!
Oh, this game will be the best thing since pre-sliced halfling!
