  • I'm a guy and I sing it but I change it to Mrs. Snow...lol

  • That is the longest intro I've ever heard!. Lovely memorable chorus and classic Rodgers and Hammerstein. Thanks

  • my fav i sang this at a voice recital once

  • remember watching this with my gran, bless her soul.

  • rember watching this with my gran, bless her soul.

  • i love the fact that it's all one continual shot, not jump cuts or editing at all

  • Are you sure about You're a Queer One not being in the movie? It was on the soundtrack album.

  • great musical song of long ago and far away

  • Nothing as good as the magical old Rogers and Hammerstein musicals. 5 stars.

  • @DocHoliday1882 I totally agree w/you, Doc! The old musicals were able to touch on controversial subjects without being explicit about them. The music made sense and was singable, not like so much of it now.

  • my teacher's name is mr. snow!! :p lol.

  • I didn't like this film version at all, but I loved her version of Mr Snow. Shame she died so young, she was such a talent.

  • @ThePiano1991 Barbara Ruick really showed her sweet voice in this song. I can't imagine anyone else doing it. She was only 25 at the time and pretty much disappeared after Carousel. I wish she had devoted herself to musical theater, but I understand that she was a lousy dancer.

  • I remember singing this when I was four, sitting on the stoop of my aunt's Baltimore apartment.

  • The stage performance was even better.

  • Gotta love the original musicals! Nothing beats them!
