Only Hope - Switchfoot

Who else is tired of everyone arguing over whether Switchfoot is a, "Christian" band or not. I've been following Switchfoot since I was 3 years old and I've read jon's blogs and watched his interviews. The answer truly depends on what YOUR definition of a, "Christian" band is. They have clearly said that they don't want to be recognized as a christian band, but as christians themselves. Their music is good. Their music moves people. Their music fulfills dreams. Isn't that what's important?

How do you define a christian band? Sure most of their songs can be a bit out there, but they are one of the bands that actualy brought me to christ. I think that they are a christian bacn that simply goes out of their way to play less obviously christian songs, to bring people to christ. but lucky getting to have them at your church!
