where i used to live, the courthouse had to put up a garden fence around the perimeter and a sign that suggested using the sidewalk. the same sidewalk that has always been there. the same that even a blind man couldnt miss- she was lazy and wanted to shortcut it and ended up twisting her ankle and falling. SHE WAS WEARING HIGH HEELS, MIND YOU. and speaking of blind men, we should try to invent 'floating braile signs' that magically hone in on the blind, bc god forbid....

As an Australian observer looking at the sheer stupidity that even makes it INTO US courts, I offer a solution to most of these really stupid lawsuits; make the "no win, no pay" clause these parasites they call lawyers use highly illegal. Do that and 90% of people will think twice before suing their neighbour because their dog crapped on their lawn.
