i loved playing this when i was a kid...played it for years.... i used to help Peter Out win races by pushing him around the track lol....alot of times id kill him coz i hit hime too hard...
@LionheartNh - That would probably be a really bad idea. After seeing how much more advanced games would become and how primitive their current games look in comparison, they'd probably lose all enthusiasm for programming. This would change history and many of the games regarded as "classics" would probably cease to exist.
My Silverstone record lap was a high 1:23 or a low 1:24. The last S bend on to the start and finish was very tricky, you'd need to take it a full speed which was either a hit (fast lap) or a miss (getting launched in to the fence).
Brand Hatch was just too difficult to drive(well, for me).
prefered grand prix circuit more. this wasn't so great.. the best driving games for me were probably pitstop 2 , grand prix circuit , buggy boy , turbo out run, power drive and turbo charge (both by chris butler).. but they are outside views of the car
Hey man, when there was nothing better that's the way it was. Remember you are dealing with 64K of RAM!!!! its actually amazing you can write a program to do much at all. If we hadn't had these games, there wouldn't be any XBOXs now.. so think about it.
Wow... that was pretty lame. Action? Think not... But then without Revs you wouldn't have Formula 1 GT (as a racing sim, not a game like Pole Position)
REVS was indeed NOT impossible to play, infact it was pretty nice when you first took your time and practiced A LOT... it was the most realistic driving game I can recall from that time. That's why I couldn't just drive ahead with a Arcade Joystick plugged in, but had to use KEYBOARD for the game... nice job with so little bit's available.
This game looks better than most 360 and PS3 games!

Too bad I live in the NTSC region and only got my C64 a couple weeks ago. At least my XM1541 adapter and 1541 work.

Many people still use Commodores for music today, as fully integrated studio composition and synth machines.
I do too. Paste this title into the Youtube bar: COMMODORE 64 "COOTY"
Also Google in CONCEPT-SINGLE NET

It was the most beautifull, and ultra realistic 3D Racing Simulator for C64. It has really Clutch and starter too.
i'm a natural Computer Racer, and amateur racecar builder, and this game is excellent!
What is same, the NetkarPro, LiveForSpeed in nowadays...
My best time at Silverstone: 1:29.5
Thank you very much GEOFF CRAMMOND!
My english is not perfect....excuse me.

Look at the painstaking attention to detail. Almost as good as the "Need for Speed" games.
