  • ahh.... 240p we meet again

  • @strokin2005 ?????

  • @Millenniumforce he/she is talking about the quality of the video. for example, 720 is HD

  • Cool!

  • It would be a big disaster if the train would derail! I don't think it would survive the fall!

  • @hazzabazza33 It has because of a frog but it only broke a few steps and hose with the coupler.

  • recorded with a fork

  • @bullet4Mavalentine12 A VHS CAMCORDER THEN RECORDED FROM TV

  • nice layout one of the best i eva seen

  • @Mr504MITCH Thanks!! So sad I had to do away with it a couple of years ago. Coast to much to maintain the wooden platform

  • DID YOU RECORD THIS WITH A TOASTER??

  • @nyiregyhaza Toaster???

  • @Millenniumforce lol lol nice vid, too bad for quality :)

  • @nyiregyhaza think. he has to find a camer small enough to fit on the train. small cameras dont usually have good quality.

  • @nyiregyhaza it was actually a coffee maker, but whatever.

  • Wow that scenery looks awesome, like I was really outside! ;-P

  • Wow

  • mad that went all around his house

  • Thank you

  • Wow I want to start model railroading where should I start

  • @MrTeavanna USATRAINS COM That's where I started

  • @MrTeavanna I started at TOYS R US

    XD

  • Meaning awesome how long did it take u to do that and what scale is that

  • @MrTeavanna It Is G Scale and it took me 2 weeks

  • That was beast

  • Oh wow. I just put my train together for the first time in 15 years and decided to upload a quick video. And the first related video I see is this one and I have the exact same New York Central engine, haha.

  • Did that train just go through your house???

  • @PowerSports420 No, t went thru a garage and Barn

  • Man, good idea in our club the track is over 4 kilometers but its in a building.I liked the lights in the tunnel

  • that's pretty cool

  • Really Cool build. i cant be help feeling sad for you though, i live in florida too and all i could think of during this entire video was Hurricane Season and how much work it would take to re build.

  • ...Love your layout... I've watched it before... But it occurred to me if you banked the turns just a bit it would be that much more amazing... cheers!

  • treated wood ,would hold up?

  • @jeepers2655 I did purchase treated wood and it still warped in the Florida sun within 4 months

  • @Millenniumforce Dont even try texas, it would warp in 1 month.

  • I liked the tunnel lights

  • @Guy50373 Thank you!! It makes it look like you are driving thru on of the tunnels in New York City

  • @Millenniumforce get a Hd camera to shoot dude and this woulda been ACE and add sounds :D

  • @DjTommyKx I do have a film of this with sound from a different camera I will send it to you

  • how much did all the wooden platforms cost?

  • @RidingtheRails7 All the wood for this project cost about $250.00 That doesn't include the $50.00 for nails ad paint.

  • Why light the inside of the tunnel?

  • @cityraildude Makes it look like the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels. But some train tunnels in New York have lights but not so many.

  • @Millenniumforce

And who's gunna see it? Waste of electricity!

  • @cityraildude At night you can see the glow from the tunnel.

  • @Millenniumforce

Then why keep them on at day?

  • @cityraildude For the video. The train display was torn down about 2 years ago because the wood kept warping in the florida heat and humidity. To expensive to keep buying ood every 6 months

  • @Millenniumforce

    Okay then

  • @Millenniumforce Maybe that plastic stuff that looks like wood

  • lool ... cool

  • I had my arms up the entire ride!!!........but seriously, that was cool!...

  • That's awesome!!!!! I have a set-up but not as big. Maby about 3/4 of that size.

  • @stubbsjw17 Thats cool!!!

  • That's really cool.

  • @esiegel76 Thank You

  • What happens when it rains?

  • @tacomonka You can run it in the rain but I prefer to hide it and park it in the barn.

  • I like this. Great video. Marlon

  • @hsmarlon Thank you!! Sorry to say that it only lasted about 2 years because the Florida heat and humidity kept warping the wood even pressure treated and could not keep up with the cost to replace the wood every other month.

  • @Millenniumforce

That's sad, but it was nice. Peace.

  • Drive into the holland or lincoln tunnel with no lights and see how far you will go!!!!

  • @MillenniumforceOH a Kilawatt

  • Why put lights in a tunnel? Noone will set and it's a waste of electricity!

  • nice train ride dang i didn;t get my ticket lol cheers

  • where is the best place to buy the locos i cant find them anywhere????

  • @11manfromusa I bought mine on Ebay!! It is the cheapest place to go. Just search G scale locomotives.

  • this is great wish i had a dad like u. did the wife like all this lol??

  • @11manfromusa Didnot have a wife here at the time. But I had my 16 year old daughter with me while I built it. We had fun doing it.

  • Too much time. Too much money. XD

  • how much did the layout cost with everything?

  • @blabloomoo About $5,000 From Ebay

  • Thats a hell of a first person's view mode

  • only needs a train yard and a bit more scenery

  • Thank you

  • it make me wanna turn my back yard into that! an ill be like honey! were gonna have a train in the back yard! :D

  • i lvoe it !

  • verry good

  • coolness! jealous now!

  • that is the best i seen yet

  • dude thats freacking awesome

  • very nice but with sound would be great, thanks for the video.

  • Check it out I have a video with sound on my train display Look for the video that says with sound its 7 minutes long. Thanks

  • Lol WOW. Did you cut a hole in your house for the train?

  • No It Was My Barn In My Back Yard

  • It was my back yard shed

  • nice what locomotive

  • excellent!!

  • no way!

  • WOW! O.O

I have GOT to win the Lottery!

    5 Stars!

  • Interesting, a layout on stilts! I guess that is so you don't have to crawl around on the ground?

  • awesome man

  • This is too damn cool!

  • The but with the walls and the lights in the tunnel was amzing well done

  • That is seriously the coolest thing ever!!

  • Here, here!

  • Awesome!!!

  • best outdoor vid ive seen 12/10 1000* great!!

  • best model train vid ive ever seen on utube!

  • we know some1 whos got a girlfriend!!! loll

no but seriously that was awesome!

  • this is awesome! I'm jealous. I cant have a G-scale train layout outside. I wish i could though.

  • cool!

  • That was creative

  • You know you love model trains when you cut holes in your wall for a layout...

  • true that.

  • felt like being on a real train! awesome.

  • epic

  • great layout!! but that would suck if it ever derailed...:(

  • thanks for the ride around your house. nice video

  • nice video!!

  • just by how the landscape looks, is this in indiana??

  • Freakin awesome!!! could use some sound though =P

  • The tunnle was genus

  • Very cool effect.

  • The layout is just amazing. Great vid!

  • That is COOL

  • Nice! i love the tunnel

  • holy crap thats NUTS!

I like it! I'm a HO scale modeler an seeing G Scale is insane!

  • lol the tracks run through his workshed

  • dang thats big very nice

  • whoa, awesome layout man!

  • That was AWESOME!

  • wow this is so cool!

  • That is pretty damn neat and well laid out! Must have taken quite a while to do that!

  • good video

  • Where do u get an on board camera...i want one!!!!

  • Absolutely too cool!!

  • that is fuckin cool

  • Nice dude

  • it be nice to put more lights on the tracks on the outside

  • Nice railway.Like the on board camera shot,Great stuff.Over here in Britain a guy called Don Jones has done Birmingham New street to scale in "OO".It also runs outside too.If he has an open day please try visit it well worth it.Nice video

    by the way.Cheers

  • very nice..have u thought of adding another track

  • isnt it bad to put that outside?

  • no, g-scale trains are weather proof(except for afew exceptions) but for the most part they are made for outside

  • OMG!!! really?? Thats so cool! but wat about the track?

  • same story, made for outdoor / indoor use. Still can short out though, but some G scale trains run on batteries in the loco, which would removed any possibility of a short.

  • Short out?

  • G scale = Garden scale

  • How do you keep the rats out of the house?

  • would invest in clear plexi glass to put up around the track in case of deraiilment so u dont mess up your trains and keep the wreck contained

  • that will not happen when the train drives slow

  • Oh wow, right through the buildings outside & around the yard, thats cool. Was it hard to set the support posts to keep the track level?

    Great video!

    ~C~

  • well man if you lke the commit thumbs up if you think it sucks ass thumbs down

  • love it got a little motion sickness..lol....but very well done.

    had G Scale when i was about 5 & about 12 i changed over to H.O. Scale.

    post more there great.

  • Impressive! :D

  • yeh baby, let it fly max speed. Great vid looks like roller coaster ride. I like that. Check out my HO layout.

  • lmao impressive but i still like HO better It's sooo........ uh realistic

  • That is one impressive layout!!

  • The wife must like that. :)

  • is that a diesel or steam loco?

  • It Is A GP38 Diesel

  • I love it, what railroad? USA trains is the manuf.? If so, Can you tell me where i can get a (G scale) BN GP38 for a good price?

  • Going on vacation tomorrow. When I get back I will let you know

  • Thank you. Oh BTW enjoy ur vacation, your lucky- i have to go to summerschool...

  • thats a amazing view

  • the kids and i enjoyed the video, keep building up the layout the way you want to. Your ideas on elevated track and going through the house made us laugh! bravo!

  • Great idea to elevate the rails!

    Very little maintenance of way!

About those holes in the building, however...

  • COOL!!!

  • A really good video and the speed of the train seems about right for realism.

  • sweet best part tunnel

  • That was very cool, never thought of doing a garden railroad that way! And nice work on the tunnel!!!

  • NICE! What kind of camera did you use? -or- did you just duck tape your camera to the top of the engine? lol I have G scale train. Keep an eye out in 2007 called "FrostyLand" in Middletown, DE.

  • The tunnel was absolutely amazing. I loved the lights! That was great.

  • You must have one hell of an awesome wife to let you knock holes in the wall and what not.

  • That is what I was thinking....

  • Don't have a wife and the hole in the wall is in my garage.

  • You have too much time on your hands :P 5/5

  • That is a neat way to have an outdoor/garden railroad ( without the garden, that is), I'd never thought of doing it that way...hmm. Now it's giving me some thoughts of my own backyard planning. Thanks for sharing this video! - Jerry , in Virginia -

  • thru ur house! thats cool
