  • That's how I feel watching Cash Cab. Just like the guys! An uncultured imbecile. But damn, those two seem like they'd be a hoot to hang out with.

  • i 'm so happy and nostalgic to see this funny scene again today,i saw this clip more than 30 years ago ,and it is still funny.i watched this show in the Philippines on channel 7 at 9 am on saturdays during those time.

  • SCTV put SNL to shame

  • Eugene Levy,("funnyman"Bobby Bittman),looks just like Gene Simmons,of Kiss!

  • This would never be funny today. People are too dumbed down. They would never get it.

  • @StanBennet You're right - today's viewers have no attention span. If you look at some of the movies and TV shows that SCTV spoofed, you realize that they really paid attention to detail. In a spoof of the Godfather, they had something like 15-20 characters and they were spoofed beautifully by the SCTV geniuses! This has always been my favorite comedy show.

  • ahh, back when tv had 5 channels and you LIKED it (whether or not you liked it)...

  • I love the look on her face at 2:38!

  • My very own intro: "This is the $211,000 Triangle. Today special guest are Catherine O' Hara and Eugene Levy. And now, here is your host, Christopher Howell!"

  • This is a parody of (as of the 1976-77 season) The $20,000 Pyramid with host Dick Clark.

  • catherine would be hot if her chin wasn't so big

  • Look at how much hair Dave had back then and Catherine sure went thru alot of characters before she hit pay dirt with Lola

  • HAHAHHAHHAHAH

  • LOL! Dave needs a haircut.

  • Andrea Martin looks as cute as hell here, and she always will be.

  • Wow, that was a good one eh?

  • This must be an Italian law firm . . . LOL . . . SCTV was the best

  • This is the good stuff~! Back from when they were still a half-hour in synbdication, I believe. Thanks for posting this ultra classic.

  • This sketch kills me..And this can stand up to anything SNL has ever done IMHO.

  • @thurin68 -they more much more creative, not taking away anything from SNL

  • @loyaldude10 Please feel free to take away from SNL...With few exceptions a bunch of overrated no talent hacks IMHO :)

  • @thurin68 yes! please DO take away from SNL - the obvious few exceptions of course, but SCTV were criminally underrated and uncompensated...however years later it's good to see people recognizing how truly unique they are / were...

  • @thurin68 - SNL isn't in the same league as SCTV. Comparison to Monty Python is more appropriate.

  • People acting "atheistically" (like animals) have always plagued decent folk. [Kenyan Obama shall make Africa & North America indistinguishable, apropos: the standard of living.]

  • @KenyanObama WTF!!! And just what does your comment have to do with this video, or the price of beans in general? You're a deranged, insane - and dare I say, evil religious freak. If you weren't so dangerous, you'd be laughable. But, I'm leaving your comment up just for laughs, you sad, nasty little cretin!

  • @chalomirof63 I think this person fancies himself a "comedian", judging from his channels. But maybe he just has a personality disorder...

  • @simplyscrummy OMG! Thanks A.: I just saw this other reply, which I removed. Lots of charmers on Y.T., ay?

  • @chalomirof63 heh there are charmers and "charmers" (the quotations imply sarcasm)

  • @CorvusCorone68 Heh .....would you care to elaborate, as I don't know what the hell you're talking about or referring to. And no sarcasm here.

  • @CorvusCorone68 Whoops - were you referring to "KenyanObama"? If so, my apologies to you, lol.

  • @chalomirof63 no i was saying some people are really charming and some are rude buffoons who bask in the safety of anonymity; i was referring to your statement. "Lots of charmers on Y.T, ay?"

  • @CorvusCorone68 Yes: I realized that after I posted my first comment, then posted my second comment in which I apoligized to you. LOL Again, I'm sorry; I was a bit impulsive in responding.

  • @KenyanObama

You can hide in the comfort of your home, in front of of your laptop.

Try saying that to somebody in person. He'll make a rag doll out of you and you will require stitches to close your gaped anus, you fucking waste of sperm.

  • @KenyanObama For my money the worst actors in the animal world are your gophers, apropos: what with the carrying on in the garden (like animals) and eating all my vegetables and generally not believing in God.]

I do have to respectfully disagree with you on Obama planning to make Africa & North America indistinguishable, that's just silly. I have however heard some disturbing rumors that he plans to make Minneapolis indistinguishable from Saint Paul.

  • Bobby Bittman, definitely not the sharpest pencil in the box. Remember when he did the commerical for "Libaries?"

  • This is the first time I've seen Andrea Martin crack up. She can look Martin Short straight in the face doing Jerry Lewis and somehow keep in character. But this did it.

  • i love bobby bitman!

  • Comment removed

  • its on here i just watched it, and it is also one of my favorite SCTV moments, if you cant find it ill give you the link.

  • yes, I found that Cooking with LaRue segment just a day or two after i posted my previous comment - cheers!

  • They were all so young!

  • @stripeyhole -yea. and check out the tie Joe Flaherty waswearing. Very 1970ish

  • @stripeyhole I was too back then !

  • Wow, nothing but pure pleasure ... I bow to you, The Comedians- Land Ho!

  • Brilliant.
