This is a haunting amazing song. He shows another side that many don't see. The studio version and the Pilgrim album were over produced , when he takes those songs and breaks them down live, he makes them so much better. Eric is one of the few musicians who is always better Live than in the studio

Phil collins opened & went on to play drums for everyone else's sets. Mark Knopler did a solo & then teamed w/ Sting for Money For Nothing. Sting did new arrangements of Police classics. Elton John was great. McCartney did a couple & then they ended w/ everyone [Jimmy Buffet,Knopler, Clapton, Sting, Collins,Arrow, Carl Perkins] singing Hey Jude. AWESOME

I think that he wonders in his own mind if he measures up to people like Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson. But in his own way, from his own pursuit of trying to measure up as an original Bluesman; Eric has really created a new path in Blues. I mean, there is nobody else quite like him.
