This piece is so beautiful that i´m using it in a part of a film wich I´m editing. I would like to know if someone of you has it in mp3 or aiff, because this version posted here has drops. I will appreciate any kind of help. I´ve been searching all the web, in online stores, but in the best cases is unavailable. Thanks a lot. Juan
'Ich' ruf zu dir' is a sublime piece. Cello and piano is a sublime combination. These performers are up to the challenge. The result is a convincing and most rewarding recording.
I love the cello, but I wish the piano part could have been more firm, stronger. It just doesn't go with the cello. Nevertheless, Gendron always brings in a piece of heaven. Beautiful.
How glorious. This piece is magnificent and to hear it in the cello (yes i had heard Stokowski's beautiful orchestration before too), is simply exquisite. Thanks for posting... it's such a poigniant piece.
Many thanks to you for posting this; even though we are not able to see Gendron's emotion, his movement as he plays, it is almost unnecessary, as it comes through clearly in his deep, rich tones.
What a beautiful version... 'Ich ruf zu Dir, Herr Jesu Christ' is my favourite Bach's work, but this is the first time that I can listen a non-organ version, and I'm really amazed... it's quite different... extremely sweet and elegant... incredible!
Unmistakeable, unique, incomperably beautiful sound; truly elegant and fearless playing. No question one of the all time great string players and another tragic figure in the cello panoply.
sehr schön

It struck me as French before I even noticed who was playing...very romantic.

If you cannot see the beauty of Maisky, you cannot see the beauty of Gendron.

@bbnjmnglrx Gendron the poet Maisky the pimp. One has voice, one has vapid sentimentality.

Nice ... but it does not have the magic of the organ and piano versions (see the insuperable Lupatti)

Please post more Gendron if you have any more! I just can't get enough of his wide range of tonal colours that he was able to produce.
