MK & Scott are playing in London on Saturday 8th October, I literally cannot wait to see them both in action, such a huge fan of their music "Talk is cheap presents MK & Scottie Deep"
@biskeybee hmm it works for me, just copy that watch?v=5nyJqVqqYXE and paste it onto the end of youtubecom, or if you like, have a look on my channel. Its called "Track# 9 ???(2)
Love this..lol My sister use to all ways sing this. she would say your Husbands cheating I seen Him..lol and we would get in to it about the words..lol thanks for this Classic.. MK 4 EVER
sorry 2 b stupid but is this the song that says use me baby in the first open bars of the song coz i had a cd single called use me years and years ago and i'm not sure if it's the same one if someone can help that would b great thanks
This track helped pick up tourism from Detroit kids visitin' the STL back in the day--used to bang the shit outta this one and the other MK Dub of "Can You Feel It" by Chez Damier
Yes what a tune... But help help help...there was another tune out around this time that sampled this vocal on it, right dirty little deep house tune which I'm desperate to find. If anyone knows can you let me know..
as it happens i think it may be cover ups volume 1 by joey musaphia i got em mixed up. (or maybe volume two.?) but i am not 100% sure ...was a long time ago!! good luck
Thats right know ur history..Todd took the idea of chopping vocals to use as instruments from mk he also try to emulate kenny dope drums..after a while wot came out of it was hes own style ..Peace
I think Edwards himself has mentioned MK as an influence. Everyone is influenced by someone. Ain't no thang. You need to listen to more old MK if you can't hear a connection!
@ruffbizness - If there was ever a book written on the History of House and Garage right up to the present day, Mk ( Marc Kinchen) would be given a whole chapter. He really was a huge influence in the music. Maybe he doesn't realise that himself. But I can only talk as a record buyer and visiting countless shops in the London area at the time; and to a man people just loved his "SOUND". He rivalled anyone you can think of at that time for HOUSE records bought. That Includes MAW & TODD TERRY!
@ballroombeatmaker Todd has said in loads of interviews that MK's style was one of the sound's that first inspired him actually. Obviously he has his own style, but to say that he took nothing from MK is obviously bollocks if he actually admits it himself...
read the resident advisor interview of MK... where they include Todd E say MK is his BIGGEST influence ever, and that without MK, there would be no Tood E....

As great as Todd Edwards is. And he has the sound that everyone today loves. Before him there was Mark "Mk" Kinchen. He was the man, and before him there was Todd "The God" Terry.
They were coming out with fresh ideas and new things on doing/producing House and Garage music that always took it to a another level & kep it simple. You had Larry Heard, Blaze, Kerri Chandler and of course the Masters of Work that also raised the bar!
As great as Todd Edwards was/is even he was learning from above.
I Have to disagree with u on the info section of this beat, because this beat sounds more like early Blake Baxter when he did deep house ,Plus i heard early Todd Edwards beats and when it comes to playing key Todd is very dextrous with Chord voicing ( moving a chord up and down the keys )But good post anyways luving the beat.
theres one thing Marc Kinchen cant do... make bad music..
