  • I Haven t heard this in years!!! I had that cd too!!!

That cd had a couple of tracks I never heard from again.

  • it's ok, the Carl Craig Mix Piano Mix is better.

  • MK was the truth in the early to mid 90's...

  • i think its a hot track for real

  • Big remix! was even cut at 45rpm on a 4 track! this tune is a killer in the mix... loud as @£$*

  • Comment removed

  • Spot on matey that's the one. And also has I miss you on it which I've been looking for ages for. Cheers Qualifide :-)

  • Thats right know ur history..Todd took the idea of chopping vocals to use as instruments from mk he also try to emulate kenny dope drums..after a while wot came out of it was hes own style ..Peace

  • Redjam is right....MK was before MAW and TE...

  • Love it!!!

  • I have to disagree with you redjam.

Todd Edwards ALWAYS had his own style and didnt learn anything from MK.

I HAVE THE VINYL TO PROVE IT!

  • I think Edwards himself has mentioned MK as an influence. Everyone is influenced by someone. Ain't no thang. You need to listen to more old MK if you can't hear a connection!

  • @ruffbizness i kind of share ballroom's opinion on this, and i love both artists, the style is similar of course, but mk's sound is unique i think -

  • @ruffbizness right, I read it interview eith Todd

  • @ruffbizness - If there was ever a book written on the History of House and Garage right up to the present day, Mk ( Marc Kinchen) would be given a whole chapter. He really was a huge influence in the music. Maybe he doesn't realise that himself. But I can only talk as a record buyer and visiting countless shops in the London area at the time; and to a man people just loved his "SOUND". He rivalled anyone you can think of at that time for HOUSE records bought. That Includes MAW & TODD TERRY!

  • @ballroombeatmaker

epic fail mate. todd edwards has always claimed m.k to have been a massive influence in his musical style.

  • @ballroombeatmaker edwards sites MK as a major influence in many interviews

  • @ballroombeatmaker Todd has said in loads of interviews that MK's style was one of the sound's that first inspired him actually. Obviously he has his own style, but to say that he took nothing from MK is obviously bollocks if he actually admits it himself...

  • @ballroombeatmaker

read the resident advisor interview of MK... where they include Todd E say MK is his BIGGEST influence ever, and that without MK, there would be no Tood E....

  • As great as Todd Edwards is. And he has the sound that everyone today loves. Before him there was Mark "Mk" Kinchen. He was the man, and before him there was Todd "The God" Terry.

They were coming out with fresh ideas and new things on doing/producing House and Garage music that always took it to a another level & kep it simple. You had Larry Heard, Blaze, Kerri Chandler and of course the Masters of Work that also raised the bar!

As great as Todd Edwards was/is even he was learning from above.

  • shake shakir dropped this at a picnic the other weekend.

    sooo illllll.

  • Hell of a nice tune!!! Regardless of where the producer (MK) came from, this tune is pure mid 90's New York.

I would've heard this at The Sound Factory before anywhere in Detroit...

  • "Your beau is cheathing, I'm seeing your man."

LOL. I dunno what she's saying, cuzz it's another trademarked MK cut-up, gotta love it!

  • okay..lol your husbands cheating I seen him..lol but it's.. you wasent treting me right in the song. you have to here the org.Vers.

  • I never knew who did this song and havent heard it in a long time, thanks for posting it.

  • I Have to disagree with u on the info section of this beat, because this beat sounds more like early Blake Baxter when he did deep house ,Plus i heard early Todd Edwards beats and when it comes to playing key Todd is very dextrous with Chord voicing ( moving a chord up and down the keys )But good post anyways luving the beat.

  • love the vocal mix ups he does..sounds like she's saying your Husbands cheating I seen Him..lol

  • what a fucking tune brrrrrrraaaaapp!!!!!!!!

  • mk is todds hero

  • Todd Terry or Edwards? (probably Todd Edwards)

  • edwards.. got vox cutups idea from him

  • TUNE! Excellent! Thank you m8! :)

  • carl craaig mix is thr best

  • One of my top 3 all-time tracks along with Lisa Stansfield's "people hold on" and kenny lattimore's "days like this"

  • Fantastic Detroit House track! Great mixes by Mark Kinchen and Carl Craig.

  • It sounds like Todd Edwards because Todd listed MK as one of his biggest musical influences.

  • this track has such a great swing to it, makes me bop my head! love mks tunes

  • todd is a genious but this wicked too. such a nice groove

  • i kms detroit citys fniest! well one of them anyway! great upload

  • pure masterpiece of a track! 6*
