  • @ 1.22 Sausage dog ftw..

  • How do you load your clips into mlr? I've been having trouble figuring this out. I'm not sure how to save them as .wav files rather than a project which doesn't let me access the individual samples.

  • There's a box on the right you have to drag them into, and then you select them from a dropdown on the individual monome lines on the left side.

It's very convoluted, it's not intuitive at all, and I don't use it anymore because of that. But there is a help doc somewhere in there if you dig around that badly explains how to use the program.

  • Yeah, I'm able to do that. I guess I should re-word my question as it was pretty vague. haha

My question to you is how do you get your samples from ableton to mlr? When I save my ableton clips, it saves them as a project, which doesn't allow me to access the individual samples. I'm guessing you have to somehow save them as individual .wav files since that's one of the only two file extensions that mlr recognizes, but I just haven't figured out how to do this.

  • I gotcha. That is something I know about.

From the session view, after you have your clips how you want them, right click on each track and select Freeze. The track will be highlighted in blue. Right click again and select Flatten. Now you can right click on any loop and click Show in Browser. It will appear highlighted in the browser pane on the left. Right click that and click Show In Finder. You now have a folder containing all your loops from that Ableton set.

  • Right on!

Do you have to have max for live to be able to do this? I have Ableton 8.9 and a launchpad, but do not have max.

  • I downloaded the regular max, and then nonome and mlr.

  • u need 8.1 for max4live

  • Did you have to slice up the beats into individual clips and assign them to each button, or does the song play automatically along the grid? Great tune, my friend!

  • Yeah, the mlr software automatically slices it up. I did create the loops in Ableton before I loaded them into mlr, though.

  • im getting a novation launchpad i cant wait im getting it on cristmas :D

  • Good sound ! i want mp3 !

  • I am making an album! I've got one EP on iTunes if you search for Three Ninjas :)
