  • Whatever they were taking at that time, I want too!

  • What a bass, my f*cking god!

  • @samucalencar1 And to think Paul played that Bass amidst his hysterical laughter... tells you how good the BASSIST is....

  • @samucalencar1 Yeah it's Paul McCartney's Left Handed Fireglo RickenBacker 4001sl LH Model

  • @samucalencar1 Doesn't seem very skilled, I don't play bass but it sounds like what guitarists do in their spare time.

  • @Zimnyification They were obviously fooling around.

  • Oh my god, they're giggles are adorable <3

  • I wish I was there to share the great tune and the laughter, ;)

  • @AlT70 , I think everybody here wants to do that. :D

  • ok thanks

  • Who's just been to the canteen for a smoke?

  • am i the only one to hears "when your bike is broken" at 1:26?

  • Who is laughing?

  • @Belsora1 Paul and John are laughing. And yes, John does sing "when your bike is broken" which cracks them up again. And that's Paul at the end going "okay, okay, okay." This cracks me up every time.

  • Besides the laughter and all this is amazing.

  • it is hard not to smile :D

  • my favorite beatle is Paul, but after idk which one i like more !!!

  • It would have been so nice to be a fly on the wall while they were in the studio. Talent and music like this just doesn't exhist anymore. Greatest band ever!

  • 1:56 ME GUSTA ESTA PARTE SUENA MUY BONITA POR ESO ME GUSTA ESCUCHAR ESTA TOMA LINDO SILBIDO

  • John says FUCK THIS @ the end

    ahahahah!!! LOL!!

  • @renzopogi12 He said, "That was it, wasn't it?"

  • This song has a hidden message. If you want to know what it is, search "truth contest" in Google and click on the first result. Click on "The Present" and go to The Beatles section.

  • @vividDC ?????????????/

  • @MichaelHansenFUN Just navigate towards the reading I directed you to, and check out what it says. You will see what I mean for yourself. The Beatles were more than incredible musicians and successful human beings, they were prophets. It is why their music is so timeless, inspired, and just groovy. Search "truth contest" in Google and click on the first result. Click on "The Present" and go to The Beatles section.

  • george. its george who is laughing.

  • @georgiee25931 George doesn't sing on this version at all. This is just John and Paul. Those are the only 2 voices you hear.

  • what album is it that there is no paul??

  • @pikagirl01 Nirvana's' Nevermind.

  • @pikagirl01 there isn't one Lol

  • i like this version better than the original

  • @pikagirl01 I kind like this version better than the original, too. Awesome bass, Paul, as usual. But mostly I just love hearing John and Paul giggling together. They were both so silly -- different in so many ways but they both had a very silly side.

  • 2 things I will miss, 1984 Micheal Jackson smile, and John laughing =)

  • @TheBeatlesBaconator Most of the time it's Paul laughing :p just so you know.

  • @MrDuntos Oh, Paul sounds just like him! =)

  • My Favourite Beatles song

  • i´ll be around hahahahahahhaahhhahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Sounds like there may have been some tea on the premises -- but the bass line is excellent.

  • liking not am i thes out takes best was april 1966 final cut!

  • That nonsensical Frank Sinatra anecdote is corroborated by absolutely no-one, and nowhere is there any record of Lennon making any such claim. The Marianne Faithfull explanation is more plausible, but absent any direct explanation by John himself, I'm still uninclined to believe that the song's about anything other than unenlightenment in general

  • George Harrison is a damn good guitarist. You hear that solo? It's not double-tracked. He's actually playing two notes at a time instead of one as in most solos. Amazing. Very underrated guitarist among the public.

  • @farseer611 Actuallly, I think the solo was played using to guitars

  • Even when they're screwing around they still sound FANTASTIC!

  • the real story is on the anthology liner notes. they were stone. john had cotton mouth and he makes a lip smacking noise in the beginning. paul cracks up and then they all get the giggles. it's awesome.

  • does george is laughing? or only paul and john?

  • haha !! kind bud Beatles!!!

  • where can i get that picture of paul? 1:12

  • Hehe, they sound awesome even without music. That's when you know that you have a quality band, people love them even without music!

    I looove this song.

  • @Kestrelcloud it seems you dont know what music means

  • @videodaniel8945 I meant the instruments. Even when they're singing without instruments, they sound good. That's my opinion, and you can have your own.

But I do know music- just to let you know.

  • @Kestrelcloud well, there you go, without the instruments (except for bass of course), not without music, that just didnt make sense

  • 0:51 Is John saying "erection" while Paul is saying "direction"??? XD

  • Play that raga!!!!!~E

  • The bass in this is perfect, love listening to it

  • lol,at the end of the song, john says, "fuck this" i don't know if im wrong! but it's funny!

  • where can i get that picture of paul? 1:12

i wish that i could be there with them laughing my head off but nooo

i was born in the wrong genration

  • At 1:12 you can see Paul holding the Aftermath record by the Rolling Stones

  • i find this version better

becuase it has that feeling that i was "there"

and because i know how it feels

  • Evilcheesypoofs story above while funny is absolutely incorrect. The song is about Mick Jagger and his vanity/materialism and his "bird" which was Mary Ann Faithful who is a singer. Hence the mocking " and your bird can sing" as in you've got it all even a singing girlfriend but you still don't get it(life, existentialism), "you don't get me" Lennon being a little preachy but always the shaman.

  • @okltsply You are correct. Prior to passing, John Lennon admitted it was a swipe at the Rolling Stones, who he felt were a copy-cat band. The "bird" was Mick Jagger's then-girlfriend, singer Mary Ann Faithful. This story about Frank Sinatra is ridiculous, and untrue.

  • @trinketbox1 ABSOLUTLEY CORRECT!

  • I hadn't heard that Sinatra angle.

  • I also cover this 1966 Beatles classic:

    youtube.com/watch?v=3iJonljfY1w

  • They hit it nicely on the last note. Pretty good for 2nd take.

  • HUASHAUSHAUSHUAH

  • Them just screwing around is better than anything that's come out in the 44 years since.

  • weeeeedd

  • I wonder which one of them played the great guitar riff on this song? I could have been Paul or John. Not necessarily George. .

  • @whyyeseyec It's a Dual-Track guitar, played by Paul and George at the same time

  • Grandi John e Paul, fanno troppo ridereeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! #LOL#

  • Paul has the cutest giggles haha! I bet they were pretty high XD

  • @TheJesterGirl

Those cute giggles are coming from John actually.

  • @RandomPlayIist You can hear both Paul and John giggle ;)

  • @TheJesterGirl

Mostly John, he's the one with the adorable giggle. :) I like how Paul is trying be serious, attempting to get him to stop laughing.

  • John sounds like me and my friends last friday night cuz we were giggling for nothing really high lol we only had a bit of weed honest but my dad thought I had some girls in the house and shouted down the stairs to behave hahahaha

  • this bass line is so crunchy, and it is not even close to what the master take bass part is, i bet paul could make hundreds of amazing lines for this song

  • I bet they also had the munchies after this. lol! Love the song though. Not over played.

  • I can tell you where I was and what I was doing when they released a single in US. That was 46 years ago..

  • It's no wonder they were considered such a hard working band, they enjoyed it so much. To them most of it wasn't work at all.

  • Original title of "Revolver album was "Abracadabra"

  • The Beatles sense of humour is what makes everyone love them (forgetting about the amazing music for a minute).

It's delightful to see amazing artists having a good time, rather than the usual miserable bunch - i.e Radiohead and such.

Best band ever. Will never be surpassed. Never.

  • @Schumitastic Radiohead FTW.

  • AHHHHHH.. The Early Beatles Wonderful thanks for putting up!

  • amazing!!!

  • I wish my days at work were like this!!

How cool to have so much fun while making something beautiful that still impresses and pleases people 44 years later. :-)

  • @DmanEyes Brilliant remark about days at work!

  • Paul is a great bass player- and John is master of funny lyrics

  • @QueenBeatlesWings Paul is pretty much a great everything player!!!!

  • Very funny. "I'LL be round"

  • it seems paul taking joke of john's song. maybe these episodes could be the beginning of the end of their partnership?

  • @danielexr More like the peak of their relationship. They're just joking around.

  • Paul checking out the Stones' "Aftermath" album @ 1:11. I wonder if he still has that copy?

  • @mdumas43073 Interesting that you noticed this detail, because I read somewhere that the beatles had trouble picking a title for this album, and before they decided on "Revolver", Ringo suggested they title it "After Geography" to parody the "Aftermath" Stones album!

  • If you watch this and don't laugh too, you have no soul.

I love these boys so much!

  • omg theyre like singing like scouse cherubs and then all you hear pauls little "hehehehehehe" its so cute when they giggle :) it makes me giggle

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! lo máximooooooo!!!! i juts love them!!!! <3

  • Gosh, everytime they laugh, I just can't help myself. They make me giggle! And John's laugh is just precious. George's laugh gets me too! :D

  • Comment removed

  • 1. I love the sound of this and the harmony.

    2. It sounds like they're either having a good time doing rehersal or they're high and can't stop laughing lol

  • I can hear everyone singing except ringo. He didn't sing in this. Or did he and I just can't hear it?

  • lol when your bike is broken

  • "be awoken!" pahahahaaa!

i laughed every time they did..hahaa, they're so silly.

    silly boys.. ;]

  • This is around the time that Dylan turned them on to good drugs...lol.

  • @rowdymax1 actually the Beatles were introduced to drugs earlier than this. The Beatles had admitted being stoned through most of the movie Help!.

  • an enjoyable experience. We forget they were human beings first! Loved it!

  • John was deffo stoned here with the fit of giggles! I am smiling cuz I've been there so often!I never thought about the bird being a girl til I read a comment below, hmmm, learn something new everyday huh?

  • The Beatles didn't take it as serious as we did.Alot of times I feel they were fucking around more than not.But it was how they put fucking around together that made it happen. They were magical. And it was meant to be.The End

  • beautiful version..isn't it?

  • this trips me out haha, and i still love there music,

  • sweet...

  • when your bike is broken lol

  • i love this version! johns laugh! hahahaha lol

  • real mccartney , faul was pathetic

  • @DCAreaguy2001 I am glad that others can tell the difference between Paul and Faul. I am with you all the way on that one.

  • this record of this song is the best!

    it always cheers me up!

  • i love when the beatles make fun of their songs

  • Apparently this song was John's idea of a funny little swipe at Frank Sinatra. Sinatra beat them to a Grammy nomination, and John was a little cheesed off. So he penned this little number. Supposedly Sinatra had a larger that average...member, which he used to refer to as his...cockerel, shall we say? Hence the pun: "Bird". What they were giggling at was John singing "and your bird can SWING" off tape. John admitted it. The combination of cock and swing was too much for John and Paul XD

  • @EvilCheesypoof cool info - thanks!

  • @EvilCheesypoof I actually saw an interview with John Lennon and he said it was a dig at Mick Jagger. They met at a party and Mick was bragging about how great his life was and that his bird can sing, he was dating Marianne Faithfull. In England "your bird" is your girlfriend.

  • @EvilCheesypoof Very creative story, but unfortunately, untrue.

  • @EvilCheesypoof

but you are right about Sinatra having a huge member, quite a few starlets have written about it`s enormity.

  • @EvilCheesypoof Naw. It's about Mick Jagger. Because he's not as good.

  • @EvilCheesypoof Not true. John wrote this song as a "swipe" to Mick Jagger and his girlfriend, ( bird ) Maryann Faithful.

  • @EvilCheesypoof How is that crack you are smoking? Good huh? Even a passing Beatle fan is aware that the biggest ongoing friendly feud in 60's rock was between John and Mick Jagger. Jagger was boasting constantly about his "BIRD" (slang for girlfriend) Marianne Faithful who could "SING". John was not impressed and wrote the song to let Mick know.

  • Their voices were picture PERFECT!!!! Its like it was destiny. They were MEANT to sing together!!!! Thats why the beatles are sooooooo amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Isn't this part of the Anthology version? =O!!!

  • the beatles are the greatest

  • How how how is it possible for two people's voices to go together, to harmonize, so so perfectly. It's really about being written in the stars, John and Paul were MEANT to find each other and sing together. It's divine intervention for the good of mankind.

  • When you bike is broken?? Is that what I heard? Too funny. Great bass line although the finished version is much different.

  • Paul's doing this incredable guitar solo... What a guy...

  • They were High

  • this is my favorite version of the song : )

  • Your bird can sing? do they mean an actual bird or a girl?
