  • good memories with this ride. sad they closed it

  • for some reason i feel really sad not ever getting to ride this even though i went one when it was still there but still. and watching this shows all the old rides like ariel that arent there anymore sadly and i hate watching it all go. :'(((

  • I shuddered the moment that pink monstrosity came into view.

  • Ok ok, i got to walt disney world and i have no clue why cinderella's castle is like that! why is it like that???

  • @BusterWebkinz That is because WDW is still celebrating their 25 anniversary. Cinderella Castle was decorated as a birthday cake at that time.

  • @ThePirateprincess23 Ahhh... Thanks! :)

  • A few rides were down when I went last week

  • I wonder if WDW sold the ride (without the gondolas) to Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, FL. The towers look to be the same height and the turn looks to be the same as well and I believe BGA installed theirs shortly after this one closed. I've got a video of BGA's skyride on my YouTube site and I've always wondered where they got it from.

  • Actually, the Busch Gardens skyride was installed in 1974, 25 years before the Disney one was dismantled. The reason they look the same is because both were designed by the same company, Von Roll.

  • @tjoceasde Both awesome rides. I belive there was also one at Kings dominion.

  • I remember riding the Skyway once when I was little and being scared out of my mind we'd fall. xD I miss seeing it around though. They've just got the platform in Fantasyland there collecting dust.

  • And the castle! Ah. I remember when they had it done up like that. I was only 6 then.. Ah, the memories.

  • dude RockMeRollMe, I was 6 years old too, and went there in 96 remember how cool the castle was and riding the skyway and very vaguely remember seeing the 20,000 Leagus under the sea ride. This video was actually taken on my 6th B-day Nov 19th! thts so cool. Good memories, I cant wait to go back this August!!!

  • yep, and the area underneath it is stroller parking. such ashame to see that station just sitting there.

  • my mum told me about theses things she sed they were gud shame there not there now

  • I remember those when I went to Disney World for the first time back in Christmas 1996! We never went on them though. I remember the castle looking like that, too! Ahh... so many memories!

  • I miss that ride so so much. they need to bring that back

  • Love the castle for the 25th celebration.
