Hi, i'm having a little trouble with sims3. Sometimes when I finish choosing clothes for my sim, my screen starts spninning around, and thats really boring, because I haven't figured out a way to make it back to normal. Can somebody help me, please?
Slow sleeping times and slow loading times are a reflection of a slow computer. You are below the minimum system requirements and that's why everything is so slow. Please google 'Sims 3 system requirements'.
hi um i have learned and u have too probly by now but if u r trying to paint an entire room that has two different wall coverings it will only do two wall at a time but ya u mensioned that in the vido and hey i just wanted to share the with u from one simer to onther bye
While my Sims are sleeping and at work I like to have a nose around the neighborhood and see whats going on LOL, can be quite amausing sometimes :) I love the Sims, the Sims 3 is the best yet! :) Cant believe I've had it nearly a year!
@Lemonwoof The patch will be in your downloads tab when you open up the game launcher. You can install it there. Just follow the process it tells you to.
This really wants to make me play it, you sitting outside on the sims... it just looks so fun. I play it, its ok but i dont get a thrill. I guess i need to be in the correct environment. aka. Down my grans, at 8am, patio door open and listening to the birds in the spring/summer ;)
@mindtwindompeople Hey, I plan to do that this spring. Well, as soon as all the pollen dies down. lol! But, I will be outside enjoying myself playing the sims, drawing or anything! The environment really does help.

I've been playing the sims since it first came out; when their hands were still blocks o.o ; had all the expansion packs of Sims 1 , nearly all of them in Sims 2; now I can't wait to get the sims 3 :D !
I remember first playing this game. I was mad at how it played on my laptop. I brought a Dell Laptop later and updated everything on it and it plays awesome!! The only problem I have is the "rabbit holes," other than that its truly awesome.^^

A Rabbit hole is when you send your sim to a community lot (restaurants, work, school, etc) and they go inside the building and disappears. I just wished we could see what was going on inside the building thats all :D
I totally agree. The speed is annoying but Iv'e also learned to deal with it. The patch is now out (from what iv'e heard but im really nervous to get it because for some people it crashes their computer and their game and actually makes it more glitchy. So in a way I want the patch but... im soo nervous)
@TheCrazyyashley Don't worry! Most of the issues that the patch had last summer has been perfected now. I doubt you will have any issues with you for the fact that Adventures is out now. You should be fine. I didnt have any issues with it and the speed fix is just great!
Hey I jsut found your videos and I have to say you did an awesome review on The Sims 3. I love the game though I cant play it now because my computer is broke (im using my laptop which doesnt have enough room or whatever to run TS3) I really miss playing The Sims 3. enjoyed this video... you have a good attitude about all the bugs in the sims 3... I am a sims 2 player.. and just learning that right now.. oh I just love The Sims and that's no doubt at all...but I just removed the game from my system, I'll just wait for the patch to come out and all the expansion packs before totally dig in to it...it's good though that I already have the original copy...worth the wait...

yes,thats true,the sims do sleep it takes long.and when my sim takes a bath,it takes a little long,heck,my sims is holding her breathe under water!lol!when i paint the walls,it doesnt do that,i just hit the little shifty button and whosh!yeah,im wierd!happy simming whitney!
I dont watch them sleep, i just use testingcheatsenabled true and drag up the energy meter when i feel like doing something with them..
plus all my sims are sleeping and going to work at completely different times so i just play with different people and make them do some gardening or something...
and i dont have the problem of getting the same wall paint in the whole house, it works fine with me, so... plus playing with teens gets boring so i make young adults and switch aging to extreme

well, while you are working on that particular item, changing its colors and such, there is a button below beside the picture of your sim. Right on the picture, actually, click that button and you will see and arrow with a flowershape on it. Thats what you use to share that item.

The thing is I have a laptop that runs the sims 3 thats not really meant to. Weird but I am still happy, I am alot younger than ppl on utube but I love the sims and I am getting a computer for myself just so I can run the sims 3! My sisters are well bummed! and yet the're 6 and 7 yrs older that me!!
Errrrmmmm, i got the sims 3 today but the man in borders (where i bought it from) said i could'nt return it if i opened it and didn't have the requirements...
So i checked and i don't have the 1 GB i just had like 902 MB..
Just by more ram. The game is fine, your pc isnt. lol! Get more ram, which doesnt cost alot, and get it put in or you can put it in. It just slick into a slot INSIDE the pc. Make sure you by the ram stick thats made for your pc brand and type.
I haven't got the Sims 3 -- YET. I've been begging my parents for the past WEEK now! It stinks -- but I'll get it soon, and then hopefully write later on this same video on how it is! :D
My friends have it, and they say it's AMAZING -- leaving out that it takes a little longer to load, since it's like a whole CITY -- not just a neighborhood.

The Sims 3 is the only game I cant review. For my entire life. For the love of god, it keeps crashing on me, I cant get past selecting a household to play! Gonna reformat my computer next week, hopefully itll work then.

Wow. Simply wow. You're running an amazingly huge game on a laptop with an already huge amount of memory taken up with only a 1.87 GHz processor. The official specs for Sims 3 states that you need atleast a 2.4 GHz processor. Also, you said that you have 3 GB of memory? That's also amazing, as the official specs say you need 7+ GB of memory. You, my friend, have a Godly laptop.

I love the game, I hear alot of people are having issues with it not working properly, but I honestly have not had ONE problem, and its never slowed. A year ago I bought a gaming computer, I dont know my spec's, but it seems to be worth the money now! I still have my sims2 on there as well. I guess I never really noticed the sleep down time. Makes sense though, it does take awhile. But oh well lol
Heheh! hey, follow my method of doing the other things while they sleep, and all will remain hype with the game. I have gotten so used to it, I dont even notice the sleep thing anymore.
ive been having problems and still have with the sound, I use iMac, with loads of GB, but the sound on the game is soo choppy and disturbed....:( But other then that, I love the game like you, and I love your enthusiasm!:D Just great!:D
Its your PC - the time speed issue. An 8 sim hour sleep on Sims 3 for me takes 20-30 secs. My PC is a top of the line gaming PC. Its not a bug and wont be fixed for people with shitty/average PC's.
As for painting an entire wall - there is a button in the build mode to do it.
Issues I have had with the game is the lack of simple things which has actually really really disappointed me. Simple things like sitting on the beach etc.
There is no reason to insult those who dont have a top notch pc as you do. The game works for you, great, but no reason to down other people for that fact.
I wasnt downing you - merely pointing out that it was not a bug - therefore could not be fixed. The reason your game doesnt speed up as much as you would like it to during sleep/work is simply because your PC cant handle controlling the entire town at that speed.
The only "fix" that EA could do to speed it up is to make all the NPC sims freeze and not do anything while ur sim sleeps - which would destroy the whole emersive living town etc.
To be honest, I'd take this comment over your first one. Its more informative than the other. I didnt need to know that your pc was top notch. All you had to say was that it was pc related and not the game and left it at that.

Well, its whatever that person feels can keep them from being bored when their sims is sleeping or working. I have gotten so used to this time thing and watching tv during them that it really does seem like 45 seconds when I look back at me screen. It works for me!
Okay,well. the wall thing;To do a whole room,take your curser and place it on the side of the wall (one piece) then hold shift and left click and there you go.(or thats how i do it at least?)Then the sleeping thing:i have a few options.#1is to bring the cheat thing up and type"TestingCheatsenabled on"than click your sim and hit shift at the same time,then you can make maxmotives all the time.Or#2 is to have two sims maybe so when one goes to sleep,you play the other one. PLUS,twice the income =]

There is nothing wrong with using or not using the cheats. There is no need to down someone for using them. If not using them is cool for you, then so be it. But, those who do want to use cheats have a right to use them as well and you or no one has a right to make them feel guilty about it.
Once again i never downed anyone for cheating. I just said I dont see the point in playing any game if you are cheating. If you are cheating in game, you are simply admitting you are bad at it. Which is sad imo.

I think the Sims 3 is good - but there is loads of things that shouldnt of been left out. They even delayed the game by almost 5 months and still I feel as tho I am playing some shelled beta version.
You say also btw that people should ignore the bad reviews? They should also imo ignore the good reviews as those reviews are also told from an emotional pov and often conveniently ignore the blatantly bad parts of he game. :)

In my opinion the game is a tad bit boring, they made it where you don't have to keep up with your needs as much, but it seems there is not that much to do to replace that time. It's still a great game, but I like Sims2 better, but I'll probably like it better when an expansion pack or two comes out. I'm hoping for a seasons! It would be really cool to see the entire neighborhood in snow
Thats what I want people to do. Be patient. The base game is focused on game play right now. Its different from the rest because...its supposed to be! The expanisons will make the game better if people just wait....
I'll wait, it's just hard to get used to a base game, when your used to a game with a thousand expansion packs and endless things to do, *goes to play Sims 3*

Thank you, Simmers! Thats exactly what I was trying to portray in this video. How to work around temporary setbacks. The trick is to not let it take away from the gaming experience. Right now, the base game is focused on gameplay moreso than movie making. And thats alright. Ever since I became a director back in Jan 2007, I havent played since. And it feels nice to get back into.

I still don't have the Sims 3 yet. hell, my comp is dead until I get another power supply box. But as far as future Sims plans. I want to make my family. I'll make Hilary Duff, David Blaine. Don't worry I'll get what I need for my Pc. And it's not that my PC isn't top notch. It's a good custom made comp. But when one thing dies you just get it replaced. I think the power box only has a certain amount of hours and the hours just went out. That's why it's stopped working.
Well, it depends on how better or performance you want. Many doesnt cost no more than 60 or 70 bux. But, you wanna get something that will provide the ultimate performance.

I love the sims 3. My advice on the time between the sims sleeping is watch tv or explore the town more. Look for space rocks or seeds to plant.

well, while you are working on that particular item, changing its colors and such, there is a button below beside the picture of your sim. Right on the picture, actually, click that button and you will see and arrow with a flowershape on it. Thats what you use to share that item.

The thing is I have a laptop that runs the sims 3 thats not really meant to. Weird but I am still happy, I am alot younger than ppl on utube but I love the sims and I am getting a computer for myself just so I can run the sims 3! My sisters are well bummed! and yet the're 6 and 7 yrs older that me!!

The update is in your launcher. Open your launcher and click on the updates tab. Go through the download process.

Just by more ram. The game is fine, your pc isnt. lol! Get more ram, which doesnt cost alot, and get it put in or you can put it in. It just slick into a slot INSIDE the pc. Make sure you by the ram stick thats made for your pc brand and type.

I haven't got the Sims 3 -- YET. I've been begging my parents for the past WEEK now! It stinks -- but I'll get it soon, and then hopefully write later on this same video on how it is! :D
My friends have it, and they say it's AMAZING -- leaving out that it takes a little longer to load, since it's like a whole CITY -- not just a neighborhood.
I really liked this review, once again, I haven't got the Sims 3 yet, hoping to maybe next week? I'm sure I'll LOVE the game, as well. ♥

The Sims 3 is the only game I cant review. For my entire life. For the love of god, it keeps crashing on me, I cant get past selecting a household to play! Gonna reformat my computer next week, hopefully itll work then.

I have a fairly old video card on my laptop so I was frustrated with the time speed.
The patch really did fix ALL of it for me, my graphics are now flawless as well as time.
However, you are required to install EA download manager. :/

Wow. Simply wow. You're running an amazingly huge game on a laptop with an already huge amount of memory taken up with only a 1.87 GHz processor. The official specs for Sims 3 states that you need atleast a 2.4 GHz processor. Also, you said that you have 3 GB of memory? That's also amazing, as the official specs say you need 7+ GB of memory. You, my friend, have a Godly laptop.

I love the game, I hear alot of people are having issues with it not working properly, but I honestly have not had ONE problem, and its never slowed. A year ago I bought a gaming computer, I dont know my spec's, but it seems to be worth the money now! I still have my sims2 on there as well. I guess I never really noticed the sleep down time. Makes sense though, it does take awhile. But oh well lol

ive been having problems and still have with the sound, I use iMac, with loads of GB, but the sound on the game is soo choppy and disturbed....:( But other then that, I love the game like you, and I love your enthusiasm!:D Just great!:D

Its your PC - the time speed issue. An 8 sim hour sleep on Sims 3 for me takes 20-30 secs. My PC is a top of the line gaming PC. Its not a bug and wont be fixed for people with shitty/average PC's.
As for painting an entire wall - there is a button in the build mode to do it.
Issues I have had with the game is the lack of simple things which has actually really really disappointed me. Simple things like sitting on the beach etc.

I wasnt downing you - merely pointing out that it was not a bug - therefore could not be fixed. The reason your game doesnt speed up as much as you would like it to during sleep/work is simply because your PC cant handle controlling the entire town at that speed.
The only "fix" that EA could do to speed it up is to make all the NPC sims freeze and not do anything while ur sim sleeps - which would destroy the whole emersive living town etc.
But we will see what they think of if any.

Well, its whatever that person feels can keep them from being bored when their sims is sleeping or working. I have gotten so used to this time thing and watching tv during them that it really does seem like 45 seconds when I look back at me screen. It works for me!

Okay,well. the wall thing;To do a whole room,take your curser and place it on the side of the wall (one piece) then hold shift and left click and there you go.(or thats how i do it at least?)Then the sleeping thing:i have a few options.#1is to bring the cheat thing up and type"TestingCheatsenabled on"than click your sim and hit shift at the same time,then you can make maxmotives all the time.Or#2 is to have two sims maybe so when one goes to sleep,you play the other one. PLUS,twice the income =]

There is nothing wrong with using or not using the cheats. There is no need to down someone for using them. If not using them is cool for you, then so be it. But, those who do want to use cheats have a right to use them as well and you or no one has a right to make them feel guilty about it.

I love your videos btw - you are like a complete opposite to me.
I think the Sims 3 is good - but there is loads of things that shouldnt of been left out. They even delayed the game by almost 5 months and still I feel as tho I am playing some shelled beta version.
You say also btw that people should ignore the bad reviews? They should also imo ignore the good reviews as those reviews are also told from an emotional pov and often conveniently ignore the blatantly bad parts of he game. :)

In my opinion the game is a tad bit boring, they made it where you don't have to keep up with your needs as much, but it seems there is not that much to do to replace that time. It's still a great game, but I like Sims2 better, but I'll probably like it better when an expansion pack or two comes out. I'm hoping for a seasons! It would be really cool to see the entire neighborhood in snow

Thank you, Simmers! Thats exactly what I was trying to portray in this video. How to work around temporary setbacks. The trick is to not let it take away from the gaming experience. Right now, the base game is focused on gameplay moreso than movie making. And thats alright. Ever since I became a director back in Jan 2007, I havent played since. Don't worry I'll get what I need for my Pc. And it's not that my PC isn't top notch. It's a good custom made comp. But when one thing dies you just get it replaced. I think the power box only has a certain amount of hours and the hours just went out. That's why it's stopped working.
