i want to be an animator that's all i ever do really is make little animated shorts and i was bullied 3 years ago and now i have school phobia so i probably won't get the qualifications needed to be an animator :( but i hope all of you who share the same dream do well :)

None of this stuff is new to me, but I do like to see how professionals describe the processes.

Pretty much all you do is just draw the key frames buy a graphic tablet put the paper in it then trace the picture with the digital pen so it will be nice and neat on the computer. Than all you do is just get a animate software to animate the pictures.

if you want to know how to make an animated movie, the animators use TRACING PAPER. You could find tracing paper at the arts and crafts store "Michaels"

@CABOOSEidea to start off buy a computer with a lot of memory and ram. Also a good graphics card. When you get really good you could upgrade getting a bigger screen. I fyour doing animation on the computer then you'll need a tablet and a program. Animation isnt cheap to start. All of my stuff cost about $4,000

@littleartistj Scan all of your drawings into your computer, color and edit them in Photoshop,save each file as a PNG, import them to Adobe Flash- Theres a frame for each file to put in, then play your sweet animation.

@beyunit Really good advice. Animation takes SO much more dedication than just drawing. It took me 3 years of Graphic Design school just to develop a touch for animation techniques.

Try gimp. And then read some .gif tutorials from net. You might learn animating.
