Cambodia would a be good country to send NK girls to because it sometimes calls itself a democracy but is much poorer than NK. So when the girls come back their handlers can be like "See? Democracy isn't that good after all is it?" They'll be like "No sir, we are very happy to be back."

I am Cambodian and I've been to the restaurant for several times. I don't think it's related to politic or something like that. NK can open a restaurant in Cam cos we don't have any problem with each other. We are welcome everybody, North or South. So they just come to make money from South Korean guys who are working in Cam. In fact the foods are so expensive, even double, more expensive than South Korea.

P.S. Now i'm in South Korea.

It appeared that the restaurants were operated everywhere in Asian from China to Vietnam to Thailand, etc. But ... having a North Korean restaurant opened in Cambodia has nothing to do with politics or the ex-King. It is because Cambodia's economy is booming and anyone can open up a business there. It's a free country!

Hi, I was there in May 2006. Nice food eh? I just returned from Phnom Penh again a few days ago, but I didn't visit the restaurant as there were too many other places to try out. =) Do visit again. Cambodia is always improving. Sihanoukville is also worth a visit if u like fishing.

It has been improving! In the span of a year a lot has changed (I traveled there twice). Sihanoukville's beaches are wonderful & the seafood delicious! But I believe the North Korean women are trafficked into the restaurant. I found out later that the NK women are not allowed to leave the restaurant at all. They live upstairs of the building...spend about 3 years working there before getting sent back to North Korea.
