@rodrigojoseunb Yep, but that is the beauty of it. I wouldn't want to live forever in this body. Its gotten harder and harder to see things like I did as a child. I can imagine it will only become more difficult, unless I can keep pulling this ''be here now'' and acceptance thing off.. but nothing lasts but what these teachings point to. And even that I only have faith in.. but knowledge is overrated anyway :)
@WhiteWolf1088 Nice. Nothing lasts...but even this can be turned into a concept and become food for our incessant fear of dissolution. To embrace is to see that fear is no longer necessary. Very great to be discussing with you my friend, I sincerely wish the best for you. :)
@WhiteWolf1088 True! I would only highlight that it is an option. If we want to bounded by name and form, enjoying it pleasures and suffering from its impermanence, we can! We can also be attached to subtle body experiences, or even this eternal ''I am'' in itself.
See, i find this to be very liberating. The idea that we somehow ''ought'' to be enlightened is one of the most painful bondages. To be aware of the process of bondage is freedom. The rest is karma and lila. :)
@rodrigojoseunb Well put.. I, for a long time, definitely felt as if I was obligated to be spiritually successful; reach enlightenment.
But then I realized the irony of such desires.. if we are truly eternal, as I percieve, then I will have the rest of eternity to have any experience I would like.. anything :)
So the only ''why'' comes down to form, then.
It's afraid, not sure it will ever stop being afraid. But I do know from experience that I can stop identifying with such thoughts/feelings :)
@JamesThomas Wow....your comment brought tears to my eyes...or was it the music? so touching, so moving......so incredibly powerful, there are no words...., with all my love, Janey

@rodrigojoseunb Hmm yes indeed :)
Some will act like we ''should'' be like this. Like we ''have to'' be like they are.
We are all on our own level, though.. can we really expect a child to comprehend complex mathematics? Just an example ;)
I happen to be somewhat ''old'' by human standards.. most of the physically young ''awakened'' ones are :)
I understand though. I've accepted this form ''Harry'' will end.. but still attached to the concept of ''I'' being eternal :)

@rodrigojoseunb But indeed, nothing inherently wrong with this (I don't really percieve wrongs anymore, at least not as I used to).
I just prefer otherwise :)
