No, your head would be right where the mechanisms are. I also apologise for the lack of audio, YouTube disabled it because I used various songs in it.
What sculpting material did you use for the teeth? Looks like Super Sculpey to me. I have an idea to try the head of an abnormally large Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake.
Very nicely made werewolf head by the way, you could almost make a werewolf short film.
If you look in the description you will see that the two radio control systems I used were a 'Hitec Laser 4' and a 'Hitec Optic 6'. Two operators are needed.
This direct control is what I prefer although for display purposes I use a small programmable board which runs on a loop (sensors can be added etc). For example at this years Royal Adelaide Show it was running for about 108 hours on a continuous loop (each day was from 9am to 9pm).
The teeth, gums, tounge and nose are all made from terracotta clay. They were then painted with different layers of acrylic colours and finished with a few coats of clear enamel to give a wet look.
So I have something to say I like all of your Things you made. I would like to know how you did that, If you can Send me the Blue Printed of the Werewolf Head That would be Great. Out can Post them on the News so ever one can do it and see if they get what you got.
I don't make things like that, most people don't. Only professional engineers plan everything out to death, even then, you need talent and construction skills to achieve it (without sounding big-headed). I only made a very basic, rough design of the main parts of the head (which I changed later on anyway). Most novices like myself simply make things as they go along. Although I did basic plans for this, it's definately not enough information and design work to make another.
I'm 15 years old and I haven't done any educational sort of thing to do it. I've just always liked to make things. Although I do like to watch behind the scenes stuff on DVD's that include animatronics. Animatronics is actually really simple and fun to make, its not like robotics were it actually has to achieve something. Animatronics just has to look good.
wow i'm impressed!!!! How did you lean electronics and stuff? im still curious how you can put all the design and the electronics so perfectly... in my area, i can't even find the tools :(
My Dad taught me the basic stuff of making things such as cutting, filing, drilling, soldering etc. When my Dad was younger he was interested in model trains and making things and later on he became a fitter and turner.
When I was younger he helped me a lot but now everything I make is done by myself (all of the stuff on my channel was made by me).
there seems to be something missing. have you tried making long strands of fur around the jaw line to make it seem more full between the jaw and the head. it seems a little big empty under those cheeks. I dunno i guess i'm just a perfectionist lol. it's still ausome either way.
Thankyou. I had the same idea about the LED's, if I wanted to I could still do it (the head support is removable and the fur around the mechanisms is held on with velcro)
can u sand me one

Very nice - though I think the ears was a little of..
would have been cool with real fur and "lips" that could be pulled back so the teeth wasn't shown all the time and the growl was more intimidating :)

so you have a robot wolf head.... and you're using it to spread the joy of oldies music.... huh
FearlessMongoose 8 months ago
@MarshFacev2 Nice made did you came with the whole structure idea by yourself?
If you did then you really have talent because it looks very slick and if not then its still nice.
I only made once a hobby robot but that was with manuals and all.

@MarshFacev2 oh okay so you didnt use automated control, i thought it was like you press a button and it runs a preprogramed show.
