ive had a herniated disc for about two years now, last year was the worse, in june of 2011 i had a shot injected to the disc, it helped with the pain, and i was able to do some of my regualr routines, but im still not 100 percent, ive tried a lot of things, but i want my life back, if someone can help me, by giving me information, i would be so grateful. thank you and bless you.
@bloodinbloodout818 have you ever tried an inversion table? i have a "hang ups" and it's saved my back a ton of times.......i try to use it everyday now
Exercise does help and its vital but by itself it cant do much
You must giive yourself specific nutrients to actually repair the problem and then with exercise become stronger.
These nutrients are (per day):Glucosamine 1500 mg , Chondroitin 1200 mg,MsM 750mg,Vitamin C 1000-2000mg, Vitamin E400-1000 IU,Omega 3 1-3 gr ,a good Multivitamin with minerals (high in zinc and selenium), extra B complex Vitamins for damaged nerves (100-200mg thiamine ,250-750 mcg B12), Collagen 750-1500mg..
I've been having low back pain for the past 1 month. I took an MRI scan recently and found out that I have a disc bulge at L3-4 and L4-5. The report also says sacralisation of L5 which the doctor says is normal and not the cause of back pain. I am under going pelvic traction for spinal decompression right now. I am off NSAID's now and feel no pain. However, my low back is extremely stiff and I'm not able to walk freely. I use a gym ball to sit on my computer. Is that safe?

aren't herniated disc patient-specific where a doctor has to discover his/her muscular imbalance?
