Hi InMyRocket why would you think no helmet is a 'recipe for disaster'? The vast majority of paragliding injuries & deaths are due to incompetent instruction and have little to do with ANY bit of PG equipment!

In the UK the clear 'recipe for disaster' is the BHPA with about 80 deaths and THOUSANDS of injured 'pilots', of course it is true wearing a (VERY Limited level of PASSIVE protection) PG helmet IS a good idea for training and while still low airtime (say at least 1st 100hrs/1st year)

Uriflyer is simply a good example of the sort of problems the sport in the UK has... the BHPA can not survive unless there are enough INDIVIDUALS who CHOOSE to fund 'training' which injures & kills as many of their fellow PG pilots...

The best way to 'fight' idiots like Uri is to highlight the issues rather than 'sweep them under the carpet'

YouTubers should be aware that 'UriFlyer100' despite being a YouTube member since 2008 has ZERO PG videos....

It's a safe bet that this is yet another 'spam' YouTube account from the sort of scum that help the BHPA MAINTAIN their accident, injury & death rate...

NOTE about 75% of my students are PG pilots ESCAPING the dangers of BHPA 'training' and the sort of 'instructors' (and 'sporting body') that will issue CP rating who can have as little as TWENTY mins airtime!

Hi Fergus, I do a lot of formation flying with Ali, mainly on smaller sites so we can get good 'air to air' footage.

By the way Ali finished his solo RE-training a couple of years ago, he has just recently started work towards becoming a tandem PIC.
