  • Lets go bowling

  • Nice job! Keep up the awesome work! 8)

  • reminds of those black night creatures from avatar when Jake first gets lost. Great job man!

  • Looks kinda like a mudbox creation. What modelling program did you use? Also, is that Blinn shader material?

  • Who made this? Did you?

  • Hey man I never got a chance to say thanks for making this rig! I really like it and the amount of control you give the animator is much appreciated. I animated a run cycle with it a few months ago.

But yeah- great rig, very solid.

  • cool texture it.ive seen a lot worse in movies.

  • awesome rig.. I'll study quadruped with him

  • That's cool chad. Did you animate? If so, your animation got better. :)

  • Nice man

  • Yeah it looks very smooth. Full of character.

The thing that looks weird to me is the back legs. They seem sooo bent, like he's crouching with just his hind quarters.

I think this problem, links back to the model. The person who modeled this probably didn't know about, or didn't care about how normal dog legs work. Check this out to see what i mean

  • @warrensloper I wholeheartedly agree. Nearly all quadrupedal animal's knees are level with their ribcage or belly. It is difficult to get a walk that looks natural (or comfortable for the animal) when the biometrics are off. The only exceptions I've noticed (knees below the belly: a few sauropod species) have been in a few animals with tremendous mass, and those animals have pillarlike (straight up and down) limbs, and shorter back legs than fore.
