  • Get a room fags, it's comedy whether you like it or not so STFU about it.

  • @TrianosDellas Who was that directed towards? :)

  • @Hoorah771 Anyone who was offended by someone elses opinion.

  • @Hoorah771 Ok, cause that annoyed me as well. Just wanted to see where you were coming from.

  • I guess this is one of those moments where it bugs me because it's personal to me. Why does ant have to be so fucking disrespectful though? Does it hurt people to call somebody a woman? I don't mind jokes, but there is a point where it just becomes hurtful, without any comedic value to redeem it. Trans-women only want one thing, to be considered a woman. It's something that they go through a lot of trouble to accomplish and requires nothing for anybody else to acknowledge.

  • @RaidenTheAlmighty You must realize that most people still think that whole thing is weird so it's natural to make fun. Plus, it doesn't offend most people so why not? I really didn't find it disrespectful. It depends on where you stand, comedy would die if people would stop saying stuff that offends certain people. I think all people should get there turn and be secure enough to laugh it off. I saw the podcast and Bailey didn't seem to get bothered by anything which was cool of her.

  • I love cringe humor. However, I think there comes a time when something isn't a joke. It's not a joke to repeatedly make a point of stating that Transwomen aren't really women. It has no elements of a joke to it. It's just saying something hurtful that alienates some of their fans.

  • @RaidenTheAlmighty Honestly, nothing he said here would alienate any of their fans... at least such a small number that it causes no concern. They've said worse things on subjects that effect way more people than just trannies. I took it as him trying to figure out why he couldn't find something similar chick without a dick. Some of it was fun but like I said, it comes with the territory and you can't expect people to totally understand the tranny live style. You're overreacting about this.

  • I don't think I'm overreacting. Overreacting would be making some kind of big stink about it, I'm just stating my opinion about something. Like I said, I enjoy listening to O&A and I like cringe humor. I guess this makes me feel the same way as when Ant goes on one of his racial/political tirades. I find it offensive because it's not comedic. Also, it's how he keeps going out of his way to say that transwomen aren't really women that is hurtful. I mean, what is the point in saying that?

  • @RaidenTheAlmighty Well, they're not really women are they. That's the point and it's a radio show. Should he have only said it 3 times instead of 5? Who really cares? I thought you were overreacting because you went with the "they're alienating some of their fans" angle which I think is bullshit. Hell, they might be gaining new fans because some think it's funny so I don't buy that. Like I said, most people aren't bothered by him calling a shemale a guy. Don't agree that he was being hurtful.

  • Genetically, no. But if somebody goes through great pains to present as female, where is the harm in just accepting it? As somebody who is trangender, I did feel alienated. I love O&A but listening to this really hurt. I know it's hard for other people understand what it's like to be trans. You literally feel like you're in the wrong body and you hate everything about it. I'm not even attracted to men, yet people like Opie still seem to think that all transwomen are just gay guys.

  • @RaidenTheAlmighty You can't expect everyone to be excepting of something. Do you realize the world you live in? You, better than anyone, know how the main stream acts towards transgendered people, it's not at that level of acceptance yet. That goes with alot of other groups that main stream shows have joked about. Take comfort in knowing that people often fear what they don't understand and them joking about it is a way around it. I really don't think O&A are bad people in general.

  • Oh, I know that they're good people. I guess it just stings a little more when the people saying something needlessly hurtful are people that you like and find entertaining.

  • @RaidenTheAlmighty This whole segment with Bailey that they did over several days was entertaining. I never said that the parts that you referred to as hurtful to be more so. That's how you perceived it because it struck home with you. I said some people might have thought the "hurtful" shit was entertaining and I'm sure some did. I just hate went people get bent out of shape because they finally joked about them. I'm sure you've laughed at shit that's considered hurtful to other groups.

  • I think that was the first comment I left, that maybe I'm just biased. However, the first 2 minutes or so of this clip really seem, unfunny to me. What I mean by that is that there doesn't seem to be a comedic tilt to. It just sounds like them stating their opinions. The thing is, I've laughed at other jokes they've made about transsexuals. Jimmy's stories about the subject are always funny to me. I guess Ant's sentiment is just what bugged me.

  • @RaidenTheAlmighty I got that but not everything that some1 says has to be funny. I understand that some if this hit home for you way before you told me about yourself and I got that as well. Ant is Ant, you know how he operates and yes Jimmy's stories are hilarious and he's the reason I posted this. If it was just Ant talking about the subject then I wouldn't have.

  • I totally understand. In general, I love the guys, but sometimes, everybody will say something that will bug you.
