Dear OP, Asian cosplayers can be any characters they want, that's why it's called cosplay. Since you obviously don't have a problem with females cosplaying as male characters, I don't get where this whole yo-asians-you-so-creepy deal is coming from at all.

@miniluvozone I don't mean to offend you, but I think you are getting the wrong idea. I think what this video of cosplayers is specifically non-asian because the category of "Best Cosplay" is always given to Asian cosplayers (and they really deserve it because they look amazing). This here gives us the idea that you don't have to be asian to cosplay well, you can be from anywhere and still pull it off just as well if not more.

I disagree with your description on how Asian cosplayers should only cosplay Asian countries, cosplay is for fun. You can cosplay anyone you want. But it makes your cosplay much more awesome if you look like the character (meaning Asians as Asian countries) Its even more awesome if your the nationality (Danish denmark, British England ect.) but not necessary ^^.

LOL you should see my friend. He cosplayed as Germany at Anime North less than a week ago, and he couldn't stop fangirls from glomping him. XD He was practically THE Germany. I was Hungary and my sister was North Italy. No one has to make me admit that I don't look like Hungary, since its obvious I don't, and I too believe in your opinion about cosplaying. Still, cosplaying is for the fun of it. I wasn't competing for any title. Of course, when it comes to Katara from ATLA, I steal the show. :D

I agree seeing people cosplay as characters of other ethnicities might be strange, but the point of cosplay is to have FUN. If people only cosplayed as characters of their own race, there wouldn't be as many cosplayers because most anime/manga characters are Asian or Japanese. I really don't think you have the right to tell anyone to "please stick to" their own race while cosplaying. Even if you don't mean to offend, it really comes across as insulting.
