  • @westcoastlovely when you have a preemie with an under deveoped sucking reflex and not gaining weight and having reflux and being bottle/tube fed the frs three weeks of life breastfeeding is NOT easy.

  • I find that if you strictly breastfeed, it doesn't give the baby the chance to bond with anybody except the mother. Bottle fed babies, formula or breast milk, can bond with others. Bottle feeding the baby, also gives the father a chance to bond with the child.

  • Its good for you... You breast feed because its good for your baby and it is what your baby needs. I swear that humans are the only dumbasses that think that they are so smart that they completely forget about their nature and animal instincts! When was the last time you saw a lion feed formula to its offspring or any other cat for that matter? Smh... Please take your video down. I cant believe you thought you had the right to make a video about the pros and cons of breast feeding vs formula.

  • @DEOtunes I agree with her. If, HUGE IF, I have children, my choice is not to breastfeed. Why, for one thing it will be limiting and I don't like being limited. I enjoy a glass of wine, a long workout, etc, you can't do most of that if you are breastfeeding. I wasn't breastfed, nobody in my mediate and extended family was breastfed. Frankly, it weirds me out and I'd rather formula feed. That's my choice. A lot of the breastfed kids I know have poor immune systems and are less independent.

  • @patriotgirl330 Do you not think thats a little selfish? You don't want to breastfeed because that means you can't drink or can't leave your child for more then two hours? Well you actually can do both those things while breast feeding. If you want to enjoy a class of wine simply pump and dump and don't feed your child for the three hours after that class of wine. and to work out just pump some milk put it in a bottle and leave baby with Dad. Also, breastmilk boosts immune system

  • Holy crap you are so dumb... I could only watch the beginning of your video. I had to stop and comment when you said there were pros and cons of breast feeding. Are you serious? There are no cons to breast feeding. You said its not for everyone... Well duh! Its for your baby! Especially a newborn baby. That fact that it bothers some women which leads them to stop and not try anymore is NOT a con of breast feeding when it comes to your baby! You dont breast feed because it feels good or because

  • It sucks that people with a miniscule amount of experience all of a sudden consider themselves experts, and qualified to teach and guide others. Too much TV girl!!! "So like, when I like started breastfeeding Leah, like it was like really a challenge, like." DUH! Dumbass.

  • SKIP to 08:44, She actually squeezed her left titties

  • Fully NONSENSE Video . Wher is ur MILK dear girl . ??

Though ur Titties look GOOD u aren't !!!!!!!! hahaha u neeeed 2 die in a cup of water :D :D hahaha

  • good

  • Breastfeeding is really easy if you really put your mind to it!!! Just think about how it will help your baby from getting sick and get all the great nutrition! Its hard at first. Just puch through it! Theres no excuses. Every mom CAN Breastfeed! Its all about wheather you really want the best for you baby or NOT!

  • I think your research is incomplete possibly.

  • i want to be breast fead

  • Do you like indoor hydro vs. Outdoor organic? There will be people fighting for both, get over it, to each his own!!!

  • I disagree, its difficult initially........then becomes easier. All babies are made to breastfeed but people make the decision for them not to breastfeed, if its uncomfortable then the position is not right. Breastfeeding is best, easy, cost effective.

  • "NOTE: THE EDITING PROGRAM CUT HALF MY HEAD OFF! HAHAH I " we don't care as long as we can see your big tities

  • So, let me get this straight. U were comfortable with having ppl look at ur vagina while u were giving birth but u didn't feel comfortable being covered up while breast feeding in public....I am way more comfortable breast feeding in public covered up cuz at least they can't see anything. As far as being the sole provider of nutrients, not true. U could have pumped so that some1 else could feed the baby ur breast milk.

  • where is the scientic research that shows breast milk kills cancer cells? if this were the case it would be a major breakthrough. I read another article where the author claimed that breastfeeding could protect against diabetes. I want to see the research on that one also. Now for the next intelligent comment "if you dont breast feed your kids will.be really stupid in school or average. breast fed kids are proven to have a higher iq 100%. My son better send his Masters degree back.

  • women are lazy as fuck these days. their role is fuckin easy, cook, clean, sex and take care of the kids.

  • @adfadfewfrewafawefaw

Go ahead, loser. Have your gender changed, adopt a child and become a housewife for 18 years. After that, you won't be complaining about how "easy" it is to be a woman.

The good thing is, that women no longer need men for having children. Women can have an artificial insemination and choose another woman's DNA to be the "father" of the child.

Once the men realise they're useless, they will probably fight each other to death, just trying to get a date.

  • Breast feeding is way better for babies. Why am I a guy who knows this? Well my brothers and I were breast fed and we didnt need braces. As opposed to some of my friends who weren't and needed braces.

  • For me, I had a difficult time breastfeeding. My birthcontrol reduced my milk with my first(which it wasn't suppose to) and my second sucked too hard. I got a lot of help with her, but she still sucked to hard.

  • Breastfeeding in public needs to be widely practiced in the US. If you saw other women in the same area doing it, I bet you wouldn't feel very uncomfortable at all.

  • @laurxuh I felt so odd to breastfeed in the doctors office, but it had to be done. It is mainstreem America, that make women feel shy to breastfeed in public. It isn't done quite often and when we thing of breast, we think of sexual things. You won't find that in other countries, because majority of women do breastfeed their babies.

  • This is what bugs me. There are so many articles that go on and on about how your baby will have a high IQ ONLY if you breastfeed, and you will bond better ONLY if you breastfeed, and it goes on and on. I didn't want to breastfeed, so I bottlefed. Well, wonders of wonders, both my children have high IQ's and I did have that bond with them. Also, Dad or Grandma could take over a feeding! I know people who have it in their heads that they MUST Bfeed and feel quilty if they can't carry on.

  • @brousseaua That's not what the articles say. Please re-read them. Did you also read the articles about breast milk killing cancer cells and reducing the risk of cancer for YOU?

  • Breast feeding for life!!!

  • The woman’s Brest has been erotic to most men. That probably has something to do with a deep seeded feeling of mother nurturing life when he was an infant, (but maybe not). But that being the case, the woman’s body is the most beautiful creation. For whatever reason, the act of Brest feeding, woman giving nourishment to her child is also a beautiful sight. Anyone who thinks it is "DIRTY" or obscene is sick. At the same time those who think its erotic is also sick.

  • @robpetersjr Tits and nipples are sexual by nature and alot of women have reported feeling sexually aroused even at a continued basis while a baby or child fondles and suckles on the breasts and nipples thus when a baby or child is causng these lustful feelings for these women it is a form of pedophilia.

  • I did both, and found breastfeeding was WAY easier than bottle feeding. Also, my son didn't get his first cold until I stopped breastfeeding. He also started getting gasy, had smelly poops, and spit up when he started bottlefeeding. When he was exclusively breastfed, his poop didn't stink, didn't spit up, and wasn't gasy at all. I will deffinately not bottle feed out next child, because of knowing what the formula did to our first.

  • I know the engorgement part of breastfeeding hurts, but the nipples shouldn't hurt. If they do, the latch is still wrong. I'm very fortunate to live in a county where there is a free lactation consultant paid by the state to come and help women in this area! She's definitely got some good resources! I'm not saying breastfeeding is easy at first. It takes practice and it is a learning curve like everything else in life. The more support and info you have the better!

  • my vote is to breast feed all the way...i am 19 years old and i have absolutely no problem breast feeding my son...and as far as it hurting, that is only the first few weeks, moms should try a little harder before they give up...and it shouldnt hurt if it does they are not latching on correctly

  • You can breast feed me! :D

  • You should show breastfeeding

  • Breastfeeding is disgusting & unnatural. Women need to reserve their fun bags for sacred things like tit fucking and group cumshots.

  • @fortehlulz9999 On the contrary... It's tottally natural for a woman who is mother to do it. Breasts' real reason for existence is this, even though they are also an important erotic zone. I a man myself, but i fully understand the importance of breastfeeding. It's good for both the mother and the infant.

  • @jinzolord5000 i am i mean

  • @jinzolord5000 Faggot.

  • @fortehlulz9999 Yeah right, whatever. You can think whatever u want, but what i said it's true.

  • @jinzolord5000 TITS AND NIPPLES are very sexual by nature and if its a baby or child causing sexual arousal and lust for a woman during the fondling and suckling of the breasts then it becomes a form of pedophilia.

  • Milf.......

  • Breastfeeding was very easy for me....until my milk supply dried up. I went from pumping 4 oz per breast in 15 minutes to 2 oz per breast in 30 minutes. My milk went away despite different diets, nipple shields, pumping, nursing frequently, etc. Met with lactation consultants about 4 times. By the time my son was 4 weeks old, we were forced to start formula feeding.

  • u say breast feeding isnt easy well i disageree its really easy. i breast fed my boy for 15 months no pumping and no formula. and it doesnt hurt to breast feed. i was 15 when i had my boy by the way the only reason it hurt u is cuz i messed up by givin it formula

  • I like your video! (I just recently subscribed because of Lora so I'm just watching this now) :) Good advice, it is very important to look up information on breastfeeding... I had planned on bf nt sib and I thought it's "natural" so I just skipped over those chapters! How much it would have helped prepare me if I had read about it!

  • isnt it very different from mom to mom, whether it hurts breasfeeding? i am not a mom myself, but have a handfull of friends who are. and they speak openly about it and they tell me its really not a BIG issue. :) In Denmark we are very open about these issues, and bottle or breasfeeding have equal respect. Every women does her best and has her valid reasons. You have some interesting points. I think in the end of the day, there will always be a debate whats best. But there are so many factors...

  • Thanks for doing this video. I wanted to exclusively breast feed and I was unable to produce enough for my son or my daughter. It's really hard when people tell you that you can exclusively breast feed when you know you have exhausted all avenues and your milk supply will not go up. So I supplemented with formula for both. Women have to do what works best for them and their families. Sometimes that includes formula.

  • No offense but I know I'm not the only one who watches these hoping to see some tits I have a problem >.<

  • @DJMALLOY18 ME TO! I was hoping to see tits to but i didn't. Dam it!

  • @DJMALLOY18 lol ur right

  • @DJMALLOY18 Ur not! ^_^

  • @MiniVixen00 If you don't like what I say, you don't have to watch my videos. Obviously I am taking about my personal experience here. I am a huge advocate of breast-feeding, I loved it. So there is no point for arguing here. I disagree with your views on formula. I am not interested in engaging in this conversation anymore.

  • @MiniVixen00 A woman producing milk who is starving herself is a terrible example, because we know that there are certain dietary requirements necessary for healthy milk production. If you don't like my opinions, that's fine- you don't need to watch. My channel is strictly MY opinions. So please don't tell me what I should or should not say :)

  • @MiniVixen00 I am not saying it will be hard for everyone at all. I never said that. I am simply sharing my experience with breast-feeding. The fact of the matter is that more women find it difficult in the beginning than those who do not. And obviously a baby is dependent on you, it is a con that you are the only one capable of feeding your baby unless you pump and use a bottle. You should eat healthy to produce good milk. Many foods can make the baby gassy or make your milk not as fatty.

  • Breastfeeding is personal choice. Some people need to stop judging a mother's intuition! There's no need to become a "breastfeeding cheerleader" or be totally against breast or bottle feeding. Do what works for you and your family. Yes, breast is best...NO QUESTION! But there's also no correlation or scientific proof that bottle fed babies become overweight as adults, have lower IQs, are always sick etc! This is why there's a big debate between breast and bottle.

  • I really think people need to stop saying "breastfeeding is really difficult, it's so hard, etc..". It MAY be difficult for SOME people. Honestly, I only think it's hard for people who were told it's hard. I was never told that, I just knew it as a natural process, and it was the easiest thing I ever did.

  • @westcoastlovely I completely disagree. While I found breast-feeding easy (for the MOST part) I know a lot of people that went into it expecting it to be easy and it wasn't easy for them. Everyones body, hormones, etc etc are different. Some people don't even produce milk. So scientifically, that is definitely not true.

  • @mamatrixxie Only about 1-2% of women don't produce breast milk, so I don't buy that excuse at all. I still think there is a HUGE number of people who don't even try to breastfeed simply because they were told "it's sooo difficult", "it's soo painful", etc. It can be, sure, but why go ahead and say it IS? It deters people.

  • @mamatrixxie This same chick left nasty comments on my formula vs breast feeding video too !

  • Comment removed

  • let me do it to your's

  • Great video. I bf both my sons for a year and it was the greatest thing. I am SOOOO glad you told excepting mom's the truth about the first week of breastfeeding! I would have to bite my bottom lip just so it would take away some of the pain I was feeling from my nipples. It was so beyond painful... but worth it. I agree the Lanlin cream is a LIFESAVOR and really the only thing that helped. That really helped heal things faster, too. Love the videos.

  • I Bf and formula feed. Breast feeding is hard and women who do it think there better than women who dont because they did the hard yards they think all women should. Its food why do women think they even have to talk about it( not you I mean women who go on about Bf)Its a personal choice

  • duh!!! hello!!! ever heard of colostrum? of course its important to BF immediately after birth...people need to stop trying to edit god's plan...natual milk=natural healthy baby.....artificial milk/formula=artificial unbalanced baby

  • There are pros and cons for both. However, breastfeeding sounds very inconvinient if you ask me. I never even tried to breastfeed my first 2 children for many reasons especially because of how demanding it is. Now I'm pregnant with my

3rd, and after seeying your video...I think I'm going to pass :)

  • In that case, you missed the intent of this video. It was to explain the benefits of both sides. I love breast feeding and the pros completely out weight the cons. Although I support formula-feeding, I see no reason why every woman should not at least TRY breast-feeding. It's not up for argument that it's best for baby.

  • I do understand the point of the vid. But I am also a full time teacher, graduate student, wife and mother of two (which means I have a millon things to do :) ) So breastfeeding, although being the best option for a baby, is not the best option for my family and lifestyle. Now, this does not mean I disagree w/ your point, but watching your video and others, I decided that personally for me is inconvinient. Thanks for sharing your wisdom :)

  • Definitely- some women just cannot breast-feed whether it is for physical or medical reasons, or just because it does not work with their lifestyle. Like I said, I think it's great for everyone to try. But formula feeding rocks too and is TOTALLY OKAY! Women should be supported when they formula feed- NOT ONLY BREASTFEEDING!

  • @mamatrixxie Well said!

  • the best thing to do is to breast fed if you dont breast feed then your kids will grow up to be either really stupid in school or average. breast fed kids are proven to have a higher iq 100%

also cow milk is bad after birth do not feed your kids cow milk

  • ignorant do some research a 20 year study has just shown theres no difff

  • @elesha76 If The Truth hurts then dont swallow!

  • @AngelicR1 How can you assume it's inconvenient if you've never tried? And how is bottle feeding less demanding? Bottle feeding is 10x more work.

  • this opened my eyes alot to formula feeding, thanks.

  • True about the pain part. There is soreness from engorgement too. Good point about being comfortable breastfeeding in public. Even knowing that I wanted to BF and it was good for my baby, I was very resentful of having the feeding be all my responsibility. I was already doing everything; sometimes I just wanted a break!

  • Thank you for your sharing your experience with feeding! I do plan on breastfeeding and was worried about the soreness, but you said it only lasts a few days, so I really do feel better:) by the way, you look SO pretty! your hair looks great too...getting long!

  • Breastfeeding was HORRIBLE with Lyila. I started bottlefeeding when she was about 2 months old. I'm breastfeeding now with Kate, and its not that bad. But I'm still dying. ;(

  • Amen

  • i had the same experience with my first child, just a little different. they knew that i was going to BF, but instead of giving us time to get her latched on, the nurses gave up and stuck a tube in her nose to feed her formula in the hospital (totally w/out my knowledge). so frustrating. i stood up for myself and told the nurses how things were going to be done with my last 2 kids.

  • oh nohz, where is your head! OMG you said nipple! lol GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU! This is exactly why I think there NEEDS to be these kinds of videos esp breastfeeding videos where moms talk about how its NOT EASY! It would be a disservice to moms if we only heard one side of the story!

  • Ready... no really, are you ready???!

    BREAST!

    NIPPLE!

OMG!!! I am soooo dirty! LOL... I agree, it's so stupid! We are all good mommy's and it takes a lot of work to do both! So no matter how you are nurturing your child you are being a good mommy! Formula feeding and breast feeding BOTH take so much time and effort!

  • Good video! I also posted a video with my input about this debate. I formula fed my son and am currently breastfeeding my daughter. People who are/have done both I feel have great input! :)

  • Awesome! I agree completely... It's good to understand both sides of the fence and TRY to educate the people who don't understand or are extremely one sided, and that just isn't fair!

  • Thanks for posting this video. I am having my baby boy tomorrow through a planned induction due to my high blood pressure. I am planning on breastfeeding...and your take was very refreshing. I can't believe they didn't ask you how you planned on feeding! Crazy!

  • For some ,breastfeeding is easy and for some it's not. It just depends on the woman. I breastfed jayden for 8 1/2 months and it wasn't difficult. (It never hurt, I had no problems getting him to latch on etc)But I did supplement with formula so he drank out of a bottle too. The only bad thing about breastfeeding, for me, was making sure I breastfed or pumped enough times during the day. Which meant i could never sleep in, stay out for long periods of time etc. or I would get engorged.

  • Good video, and good points! I have done both breastfeeding, and formula, and am completely comfortable with both! I am not the type to breastfeed in public, i will always go to a bathroom or dressing room... i am nor against it, but i have to admit, that it takes me off guard when someone whips out a boob with no cover up! i mean i know i have them and i am not being immature, but i really wish some people would cover up a bit, i mean seriously we dont need to ALL see her nipple! lol

  • That is kinda crazy that the hospital didn't ask you or help you out right away! I mean before i even had my kids the nurses asked me if i was going to formula feed, or breast. And I did already know i was going to breastfeed,i tired right away, didnt get anything. the only thing that made me mad is with both of my kids, i think they fed formula with both of them, which was harder with my son cause he wouldnt latch on, since he already had the formula, he didn't want to wait for my milk!

  • Well done for being so honest. There seems to be a lot of pressure on mothers to keep everything 'natural' but sometimes nature doesn't come easy.

  • Thank you for all the help!Your a great mom! I have two questions

How long did it take for the soreness to stop? And when did you introduce leah to the bottle? Please answer :)

  • It took about 4-5 days for the soreness to go away, but when it did it was gone for good! I introduced Leah to the bottle throughout weeks 4-6. If you do it too early, they may not want to breast-feed anymore. If you do it too late, they won't want the bottle. 4-6 weeks worked perfect for us!

  • Thank you so much :)

  • Wow I am really surprised that they didn't ask you if you were planning on breastfeeding or not... that's crazy.. that has been one of the first questions they asked me with all 3 of my kids.

This is a great video though! I am also a mom who breast-feeds and formula feeds. Loved hearing your opinion

  • I am too. I was naive to the whole thing and wasn't originally planning on breast-feeding her, so I didn't even know to ask about it that soon. Def gonna change that next time around!!! Thanks for the comment :)

  • Great video and thank you for not bashing those who formula feed !

  • Of course not! No one deserves to be bashed.... we are all great mommys!

  • Thank you so much Nikki for this video !!

I agree with absolutely everything that you have said. Thank you for a healthy educated approach. I think you will help a lot of people with this information.

    Way to go !!

    xoxoxo

  • I just have to laugh...a video about breast-feeding and all we can see are your boobs! lol Great video though! Very informative !

  • OMG hahah the editing program cut it like that for some reason I have no idea how that happened!

  • Breastfeeding is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life I think harder than getting my BSN in nursing! I made a vid last week talking about MY cons of breastfeeding u should go check it out when u get a chance. Right after my C section they asked me if I wanted to breastfeed I tried and was to doped up to do it. I made a birth plan stating not to give her formula, sugar water, or pacifers. But my prob was that I never gave it to them. But luckily they asked me what I wanted to do.

  • It is sooo hard! They didn't ask me what I wanted to do... I was really upset about that! Luckily I know more now, so that won't happen next time around :) I'll check out your video!

  • I'm totally with you with everything you said in this video! You are telling my story! I also breastfeed and formula feed my son.
