I use my guitar amp just for the voice the gain has, but I use the guitar amp as a preamp and I lower the volume so it is almost inaudible and I have all the volume come from the bass amp, and tone is great. Problem solved. Great cover by the way!

if you go into the guitar amp with the bass, then go from the guitar amps' output into the bass amp's input, then you get the guitar amps' distortion but the sounds going out through the bass amp so you run no risk of blowing it out. i do this all the time. =]

@Adamshredsify Mr757dude is right, guitar amps cant handle the low freq's of bass's, it slowly destroys the amp. but you can use it none the less if you feel like it. if you dont belive it, try it yourself! :D if you play an instrument that is, that is stringed and requires an amp, and if you have a bass to plug in baby.... get it? plug..in..baby?
