Its possible to catch that caged monkey without going in the enclosuer, but it takes tons of patients. You have to wait for it to come close to the gate because it has this walking patern. I did this when I was stuck and couldn't find how to get some other monkeys.

You actually don't have to rotate the analog sticks to row the boat; just point them forward. :)

Don't get me wrong, I love new games, but I love old games better. I prefer the DS to the PSP, mainly because the graphics are basically the same as the N64, except without texture filtering. Whenever I play my PSP, I feel like I'm betraying nintendo and my Wii will tangle me up in its cords or something. (just an exaggeration of how I feel, of course) but i still feel like i'm betraying Nintendo.
