BUY THIS BOOK I started weeping from page 12 until I finished the book. The stories of this author's life and his experience with God are so compelling I just could not stop crying. I wept the whole time I read the actual `enlightenment' John experienced from God. I wept at the description John gives of this Great love that God has for us. I wept at the description John gives of the great mercy of Gods' love. I wept at knowing for the first time who and what God isThe world needs books like this

I have read many spiritual books in my time but nothing prepared me for what is written on the pages of this book. This extraordinary story of "The Enlightenment" was told so well that I felt as if God actually manifested his presence to me. When the author brings you into his actual "Enlightenment" you feel that this must truly be the Providence of God. What God tells him makes such beautiful sense it brings tears to your eyes.You begin to sense this Great love God has for us in a way you .....

I understand mankind's need for the crutch of believing in the god's. The vast majority of our species is terrified of death. Such a pity that billions resort to such foolishness to assuage their fears. Instead of praying for us atheists, why don't you christians obey your "savior's" words and do demonstrable, objective supernatural works? Jesus said those who believe would do GREATER works than his - yet gullible christians put heir faith in that empty promise & endless TBN frauds/conartists.

@Cotronixco ::: Sorry, the bible does not have the definitive answer on this. NDEs, psychic contacts with the 'dead', psychic investigations in the past 150 years, tell us different. 1 Samuel 28:15 "Samuel said to Saul...", Samuel was alive and well in the afterlife.

@k0smon -- Samuel was temporarily brought out of the grave. He was sleeping, awaiting the resurrection. Jesus said in John 3:13 that nobody has ascended to Heaven except Himself. He also told His disciples in John 14:36 that He will return and THEN they will follow Him to Heaven at the resurrection. This is when the dead are finally made alive (ICor 15:22). Be careful not to get caught up in the traditions of man, especially when they contradict the Word of God.

You illustrate the point that Bart Ehrman makes in his book "Jesus, Interrupted., Revealing the Hidden Contradictions in the Bible." The bible is full of contradiction and error, and is not 'the Word of God".

@k0smon You are correct that there are very many interpretations. But you are not correct that I believe it is easy to reveal a truth. It is NOT easy. A man learns traditions and falsehoods from other imperfect men before the Spirit forces his life into a tailspin and reveals a truth. You must know that the truth of every topic is represented by men - just not a man. This age reveals little consensus. The seventh day will reveal overwhelming consensus.
