  • Great message. This takes Christ's message that we should love one another and makes us want to be involved in the same kind of servant ministry as Christ. We are commissioned by Christ to care for one another and to bring peace and justice to the world. Very inspiring.

  • Look its very simple the mormon church is false, joseph smith was a false prohet and this church is a off shoot of a false church therefore they are false. they accept the book of mormon which is the fictional story of spalding.

  • Fraud pure and simple.

  • Joseph Smith had sex with multiple teenage girls. He was a gold-seeker and a fraud. Any church that follows his influence is fraudulent. Open up your minds, people.

  • @MorrisonEnterprise - Well, you probably just masturbate not know how to have sex, loser.

  • Joseph Smith Jr. was a true prophet of God who with divine intervention was able to bring a historical inspired document of the peoples of the Americas & restore God's church on Earth. Prior to his death, he instructed that his son would be heir to this church. (This fact is key to succession) So history of the LDS/RLDS/FLDS etc. will show that the true linage was with Joseph Smith III ( RLDS), not w/Brigham Young, not w/Sidney Rigdon, nor James Strang, nor Granville Hedrick, or Wm. Bickerton

  • @kirkeedoo Joseph Smith the Third was a great man. I have read quite a bit about him. Emma was an amazing woman as well.

  • Jada: I think the RLDS does not equate the Book of Mormon with the Bible (as does the LDS). I believe it is viewed as an inspired writing but it is not mandatory to accept it as scripture. At least, that's what I get from reading about this subject.

  • Okay, so I have a question for RLDS (Community of Christ) members. How can you accept both the Holy Trinity and the Prophet Joseph Smith when Joseph Smith said specifically that there was no Trinity when he witnessed both the Father and the Son in the Sacred Grove?

  • @jadampreisscore I am a member of the Community of Christ and never heard that Joseph Smith stated that there was no trinity just the way the word was used. Now I personally believe that the Father and the Son are One (unity) and the the Holy Ghost (Spirit) come from the Father in the name of the Son. I believe that the Father and the Son has spiritual bodies. And They are One as stated in.John 17:20-23. Father Son and Holy Spirit Being One God

  • ANYBODY else hear the GREAT news from Conference? Its so funny, every time I learn more about the LDS church it makes my stomach turn and every time I learn more about the Community of CHRIST it makes my heart soar.

I'll give these highlights I heard at Church today.

GAY marriage gets the thumbs up and baptisms from other Christian factions are now recognized. Which is so sweet! I only need to get a confirmation and I'm good to go. ANYBODY know if I need to get re-ordained? Currently a Priest.

  • @TOMZAUGG "God is far more liberal in His views and boundless in His mercies and blessings than we are ready to believe or receive." Joseph Smith, Jr.

  • We need more stuff about our church like this

  • Can anyone tell me who the band is in the background... Cheers

  • I really liked this. We need to reach out to the youth and minister to them and welcome them to be involved in the body of Christ, the Church. There's a Community of Christ near me and I feel like giving it a try, to visit or maybe to call it my home church. God bless! :)

  • I was just curious if you were aware that the Community of Christ church is an off shoot group of the Latter Day Saints movement so they're beliefs are not exactly Christian. I'm not trying to bash, I just thought it was important to share that with you.

  • The Community of Chirst are moving away from some of their early beliefs. Their last prophet acknowledged that the Book of Mormon was not real history.

  • What was his name?

And if at all possible, is there documented sources of him claiming that? Thanks.

  • Yes, Scwiggles, I am aware of their history with the Latter Day Saint movement. I don't regard them as un-Christian, however.

  • Please explain how us being an off shoot of the Latter Day Saints movement classifies us as "not exactly Christian." Thanks.

  • I'm an ex-mormon(LDS) . I like how this guy didn't pretend to have any special insight or communication with God directly. I marvel at his candor on doubt, you would have to be mormon to have no doubt about this stuff. I think the whole fiasco from the early days of the church can be broken down like this, Joesph Smith was an inspired man, that fell from grace and became consumed by his quest for power and riches, causing Christ to reject the church as it was at that time. There was a nugget of

  • Truth however. Even in a book that is completely fictional I believe the Spirit, power, intangible truth and message of Christ can be uncovered by a person truly seeking Him. I believe that is His power. I know the B of M is false, however it is another testament of Christ, and by reading it you can feel His spirit. For example a scripture I love is "the song of the righteous is a prayer on high." My vote on a direction, rejecting the P of GP and D&C and keeping the B of M and bible as a fables

  • @Finnjun The Community of Christ is a beautiful and good Church. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; however I have a deep appreciation and love for the Community of Christ. This Church is a crucial part of the restoration movement. I see Emma Smith's hand in this Church and I also see Joseph's hand in it. I believe that the Community of Christ is a Church wherein they are open to truth "let it come from whence it may" as Joseph Smith wrote about.

  • @Finnjun I totally recommend it. The people of this Church are amazing, generous loving and kind, on top of that intelligent.

  • Love this Veazey's D&C 163, and I'm not even affiliated with the church.

  • I saw his mesage on the website, so cool& I'm not a young adult anymore, lol. Young married ;-)

  • Thanks Brady for posting this...we really wanted to use it our at our Australia National Young Adult Retreat...great job!
