@MissLoveAndLight I would suggest bobby pinning the wig in place to your wig cap. Get bobby pins that match the shade of the wig and use them along the seemline under the hair and no would be able to tell that it's stuck in place like that. [That's what I did with my wig (which I've only worn once, since it was a cheap one for halloween) and it worked out fine]

I would only wear a wig to cover up my natural hair... haha I've always wanted straight hair blonde hair (mine is REALLY curly and light brown) and straightening/dying it had ruined my hair. Wigs are a great alternative to damaging your natural hair.

@kagomefan4 - to me the best solution is "confidence". be confident when you wear one and don't be conscious about your wig. it takes a little bit of getting used to but the way I see it - a wig is just another accessory - like shoes or purses. dont be embarrassed that u wear one. I tell all my friends I wear wigs and love them!

i have a synthetic wig from japan also, a good way to make it less shiny, is to get some baby powder and a powder puff and lightly dab the baby powder onto the wig (:

Um, thats not how you wear a half wig. You should put your hair inside because the different lengths will be noticible. Also you can take your hair out if front because that will hide the seam and look more natural.

Yes most definitely!!! u can wear a full wig that hides everything else! My wigs have an adjustable cap. I suggest to set it to the tighest fit so it doesn't come off. Good luck and hope u let me help u pick your wig for your next program!!! thats so exciting!

Some cheap synthetic wigs are too shiny but My Wig Studio's synthetic wigs aren't! They look very natural - you will be surprised! I don't have to put anything or do anything special! However, heard some people puff baby powder to lessen the shine on their wigs! I haven't tried it myself though. good luck!

@BunnyHanyou wash the synthetic wig using white vinegar, this tones the shine down alot, also some laundry detergents work aswell but i would research more into it before.. but i am sure white vinegar works as iv used it on a hair unit before.

Dear Hugz - it is there, just in a different color. Its called the "Gweneth" wig! Its straight, full with real good volume and body! It has this sexy bangs! I would have reccomended you put more styling into the half wig because it looked really unnatural. I agree with jaqulinchius, you should have pulled out some of your hair in the front to blend with the wig. The way you did it you would need to camo it with a bigger head band... but nice try!

the second wig does not goes like that. you suppose to put some of your real hair to the front and when you put the half wig you mix your hair to the wig ddddaaaaaa.

My mom has a wig, and she put the wig cap on exactly like you did but the wig cap shows in the back! She had me "pull" it down in the back but I can't see where it can be pulled down without the bangs being pulled out of place. It's a lot like the blond wig you're wearing, but shorter.. and it's $200 so it ain't cheap.. bought from a good wig store.. there was question at the store that it might be too small for my mom.. could that be the case? Anyway, any "remedies" for visible wigcaps? thanks!

I think in this case the wig she got is probably too small for her. Wigs come in various sizes: petite, small, medium, large, etc...The wigs that I carry fits all because it comes with an adjustable cap.

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the wig cap is the same color as the wig so its not too obvious but I would recommend getting a new piece if this continuous to bother her. You cant be confident wearing ur wig if the wig cap shows! Take care!

The wig cap wasn't visible in the store. The clerk took out the adjustable part of the cap cuz the loosest setting worked for my mom, it really fits her quite nicely.. and the back looks very nice- except the cap "peeks" thru certain strands of hair- it's not horrible.

Thanks for the question geekybutpretty101! It really depends on the person. Some people prefer to tie their hair because it gives them more confidence and assurance that their hair will stay in place. Just make sure the tie doesn't create a bump under the wig. Some even use hair pins. However, some just twirl / twist their hair to evenly distribute inside the wig cap.
