One day i went into guitar lessons and i wanted to learn this, and I go to guitar in a town in Northern Ohio and my guitar instructor is from Akron. I asked him if we could learn this and he said he used to have a band with Dan during their teenage years and they were called The Barn Burners. @iheller You should check out some Junior Kimbrough. R L Burnside is amazing also. They're Mississippi Delta blues guitarist's. What's interesting is they were developing this unique type of blues because they weren't used to hearing other people play the blues so they completely invented their own style from the woodworks. I'm just glad people can enjoy the music.

the cool thing about a good band sans bassist is when listening on your own device you can just jack up the bass eq and it gives it a neat overall sound and will satisfy your low-end needs, I have been doing it with Pig Destroyer for years and it is so deliciously, bombastically organic... kudos to TBKs, difficult and rare to be blowing up as a 2-piece rock-oriented band these days...

Sick... I was at this show and it was SO sweet that they made a dvd of it. The Crystal is a great venue, too bad the sound isn't the best and the lay-out SUCKS for anything that's not 21 and over only...
