So Ingrid sang this on a radio program after a request from a US commander who was stationed in Naples, Italy during the WW2. They got the guys on the line, and this commander asked Ingrid to sing for him since the song reminded him so much of the memory he had when he went to see Casablanca a year earlier before being assigned on a mission in Europe. She was very sweet indeed. :)
Ingrid Bergman actually aspired to become a singer in the beginning and even tried to sing opera, but tossed it aside when her acting carreer took flight. She did some kind of return later in her carreer singing in the Jeanne d'Arc Oratorio on stage and even on film. Look for pieces here on youtube.
I'm guessing she sang this at her tribute in 1980 which was set in a replica of 'rick's cafe'. i'm looking for the rest of that tribute. does anyone hav it
@kaallu10 The tribute was in November 1979 in the Variety Club of America, it took place in the Plato of Casablanca, and Frank Sinatra sang As time goes by for her, it was a surprise. What I tell is on the Biography of Ingrid told by herself.

Wow! I did watch this movie but couldn't recall that Ingrid actually sing this song. Thanks for sharing! She's wonderful.

She didn't sing the song you hear in the movie. That was someone else. I think it was Dooley Wilson who plays Sam.
