  • This is the best scene in Magnum Force. I always find it funny when people fail to realize that Harry was sending a message to the rookie when he shoots the cop target.

  • it's a shame police no longer carry large magnum revolvers. pointing one of those at a criminal's face would scare him into submission, he knows it can blow his head clean off

  • Dirty Harry vs. Hutch before he was Hutch!

  • Oh my gosh, I have the gun the blond guy has lol

  • @MrIlikegadgets LOL! That "blonde guy" is David Soul aka "Hutch" of Starsky & Hutch.

  • @wentkat lol dude i am the worst with names but i would notice a good gun anywhere

  • the 6" 29 vs. the 4" Python, classic. three five seven vs. 44... battle of the mags. not certain as to what make/type speed loaders Soul uses.

  • What kind of speedloaders does Davis use?

  • 0:39 the question is did he shoot six shots or only five

  • Did anyone notice every shot from Harry and his .44 was right in the head? (Even the Cop)

But he hit body shots with the .357. Someone did a great job thinking about making it real.

  • @controversyking The that pulled the Ricca group as well as the pimp over was Charlie McCoy (Mitchell Ryan). The voice gave him away.

  • Who is that guy in the green pullover with the cap(?) at 3:36? i think i know this actor

  • @CinistoGer That's Tim Matheson. In this movie, he's the vigilante cop that gets sacrificed via Frank Palancio's shotgun.

  • My dad had a dirty harry... they are worth thousands now... NOUTIfgdhfg

  • I really wish that Harry had shot the kid who yelled "Thats a good guy!"

  • I think he'll get a special Geto pass for shooting a cop! What do you think?

  • Just watched this last evening with my friend. Blu-Ray looked amazing from my 47" screen, but this really was the first BD-disc I have ever seen with no DTS-track.

This was one of my childhood favourites. That VHS-copy got pretty worn after repated viewings... Later it became even more favourite after my friend bought that .357 Magnum (Dan Wesson).... This spring starts again with a bang! :D

  • harry calahan makes duke nukem look like a pusssy

  • Best one out of all dirty harrys.

  • @OsanBlackCat5RS Agreed. Love the hijacking scene.

  • @OsanBlackCat5RS I agree....this was better than the first Dirty Harry which was a great flick as well

  • "Harry turned his gun on the crowd, shot everyone and said: "Looks like I win."

  • what pistols do the bent coppers use???

  • @thebruce1313 They're Colt Python .357 revolvers with 4inch barrels.

  • @britopinion ahhhhh a thought so!!!! some pieces of kit those pythons!!!!! a get confused with different barrel lengths ....... but then am thick lol

  • @thebruce1313 LOL, I'm sure thats not true mate but true or not you're spot on about the Python. Its a very nice looking revolver and it works well too, for a revolver. I had a try with one about 17 years at a gun club in Oxfordshire in the UK. Like i said it was nice, for a revolver.

  • @britopinion yeah ad give ma left nut to fire a python or annaconda hell even th sw 29, largest calibre av shot is a .22lr hehe.

  • @thebruce1313 lol .22 i shot a .357 magnum when I was 4 years old

  • @whyusucksobad hehehehe technically it was a 12g but u cant count shotguns lol plus a was on chewing tebekee when a was 3 years old !!! haha

  • This is one seriously cool film as are all of Clints. But what is the story on these comments below? These people are on drugs.

  • I have a taurus .44 mag in 12 inch barrel it looks like smith 29

  • @hardman476 12 inch barrel? any pics or video of it?

  • hahaha when he shot the last cop it looked like he was sending a message to Davis; "YOUR SCREWED"

  • 4:13 he double tapped that fucker with a 44 magnum. Priceless.

  • The Dirty Harry movies are great fantasy for seeing what we all know criminals deserve, lord knows they got it coming because they ALL get away with SO much shit in their lives, even the so called 'innocents' who are exonerated from one out of a host of evil deeds by DNA evidence.

I love the scene in Magnum Force were they are walking down the line of perp carcasses with tags on their stilled feet at the morgue, waiting to get sent to hell. Awesome.

  • @chelseagurl97

If hell is real and they will get there once they die, what's the point in killing them beforehand? Speaking of the "lord", what happened to "thou shalt not kill"?

I do agree the worst criminals deserve death, just don't come here and think that is compatible with some religion, because that is a load of hypocricy and glued on morals.

"Magnum Force" deals with people who misunderstands Harry Callahan and who take vigilante justice to the extreme. A good sequal.

  • @McLarenMercedes I said it was a great fantasy, I and most people who enjoy these films do not want this to happen in the real world, we want due process.

And pretty much all religions on earth up until recent history DEMANDED the death penalty for serious crimes.

And it is 'You shall not murder.' Killing for war and justice are ok.

And the point in killing the properly convicted is to get them to their hot spot in hell as quick as possible to set an example and save innocent lives.

  • @chelseagurl97

When did Jesus say it is ok to kill for war and justice? Did he urge his followers to kill Romans because they were opressing them and taxed them for Rome? Did you know the Hitler youth had knives on which it said "God with us". They too thought it was ok "killing for war and justice".

My point is IF people really would believe in God then they'd live their lives like they did. Unfortunately they do NOT so what is the point of religion at all??

All religions on Earth are bad.

  • @McLarenMercedes Jesus is also Jehovah and he exhorted his people to trample and stamp on the necks of the heathen with righteousness throughout the Old Testament. Read the whole Bible together to begin to know the Lord.

Hitler Youth were wrong, the West was right. So by your reasoning FDR and Churchill should not have smashed the Nazis into dust with warfare upon their heads because the Nazis also believed in killing for war and justice?

  • @chelseagurl97

The Old Testament?? Ok, now I see there's no point trying to reason with you, as little as there is trying to be reasonable with a muslims that thinks the Quran is 100% truth (in this aspect you differ little from them). You're telling me you actually believe the world was created 6000 years ago in 7 says and God made Adam and Eve into the first two humans? What's next, you trying to convince me Santa and the EasterBunny are real too?

If there IS a God then it's NOT in the Bible

  • @chelseagurl97

Your "Lord" is too manlike, too pettyminded, too sadistic and too illogical to be anything but a fantasy and imaginary friend in the sky for ancient people. An all wise, all knowing and all grand deity wouldn't want us to be obedient sheep but to come to our own insight, not through some ancient superstition. Your "God" is a figurehead, nothing more.

Sorry, but if you actually had read a few books about WW2 then you'd know 80% of all German casualties were on the Eastern Front.

  • @chelseagurl97

So I take it the "west" was right too when they exterminated all those Indians too? Drove them off their land so that they starved and gave them blankets with smallpox. A very Christian and civilized thing to do no doubt.

My point is that religion has very often been used to fool people of their righteousness to go to war and attack other people. This makes you a nazi.

Uncle Joe stood for 80% of German casualties not FDR or Churchill thank you very much. Read a book about WW2.

  • @McLarenMercedes Who do you think armed and supplied the Soviets?Certainly not their own retarded state run economy.

The Indians should have been provided for but I can't feel guilty about something I had nothing to do with any more than I can hold you accountable for the exterminated reindeer peoples who were in Sweden before your forbears arrived.Group guilt is bullshit, worry about the wrongdoings of individuals.

  • @McLarenMercedes, I too believe that "Religions" produces nothing but intangible emotional solace for those who require it.

That said, people need to educate others and not denegrate and insult them if their own personal beliefs differ from theirs.

It's been my experience that people can be led but not driven and most, even when confronted with the facts will simply claim they are false.

(You can't change their minds on the subject, just as they can't change yours.)

  • @chelseagurl97

You know I get EXACTLY the same argument from Muslims. They always say:"Read the Quran" and you'll know it's the truth.

And to make sure this stuck in your head once more. My point with the nazis, is that like many so-called "Christians" (yourself a prime example) is that they saw no problem with integrating their christian "morals" with going into war and killing other people. Like you did with the indians and countless of others

So go and pray to your imaginary friend.Crazy

  • @McLarenMercedes Also let me educate you about our native peoples. They were not ancient Jerry Garcias in tune with the land, but fierce little pricks hellbent on fighting civilization, which is why we honor them by naming many of our sports teams after them in their memory.

  • @McLarenMercedes Here is something you were not taught while you were indocrinated.

There was a great, brave, native Empire(!) called the Iroquois League. They completely wiped out another tribe called the Cat People regardless of age or sex. They dubbed some they conquered 'bitches' (misogynist?). Later US troops were burning their corn so they would starve the better during the winter, these valiant souls FLED to Canada rather than lift a hand to save their property, and were thus defeated.

  • @McLarenMercedes, There was a time where holographic muslims were a blink of stardust in the eye, laura mars could have told you that earlier, but you need to see where this world is going, unity will complete the task and we will no longer be moarning over some pathetic religion, take a stand back from your european thinking and your eastern promise and look at turkey, they have it all by means of the sleepy hollow and the guilded mask of turps, if you look at your religion, you will see cook!

  • @McLarenMercedes Because they would be even worse without religion. Voltaire-"If God does not exist, he must be invented." People need to believe, they need an eternal goal, genius. So be wise and do not curtail religion, keep your unbelief to yourself and struggle quietly and try again to believe, because it will come back and bite you in the ass.

  • @chelseagurl97

I agree with Voltaire, God is indeed invented. Invented to more easily control the ignorant masses of people and keeping them content. Why is God a HE btw? Does that mean men are more worth than women according to God? Of course not, they deserve to be punished for the sins of Eve. Is that the ideas of a goodhearted deity? Sounds more like a pettyminded, sadist. No wonder the fear saturates your whole view of the world. Nothing good ever came from fear. Reason prevails.

  • @chelseagurl97

Correction. WEAK minded people need to believe in ancient superstition and fairytales that nobody with half a brain or even a tiny bit of common sense can believe. Religion teaches people to be obedient slaves, and accept ONE explanation of the world. People who can think for themselves don't need that, they can make up their own mind, and they can base their morals from common sense and logic and not out of fear that some pettyminded deity will punish them for insignficant sins

  • @McLarenMercedes Einstein was right, mankind is a sorry lot, which is something you would know if you read history or a newspaper.

No one more 'strong minded' than a porn star, a drug addict, or any other common sin ridden fool.Such strength and independence! Please, they are pleasure's slaves, controlled like pathetic pigs till the day they die.

'Make up their own minds'. Most people are followers whether believers or not, and sorry to say Mercedes, you are none too original in your thinking.

  • @chelseagurl97

Struggle for belief? That's a new one. Guess what, the number of atheists is increasing in the world, even you troglodyte believers are well aware of this. This is good news for mankind because morals based on glued on ancient superstition which can be switched on an off when it suits our needs are of no use to us.

Here's what Einstein said:"If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for a reward then we are a sorry lot indeed"

    Who needs an imaginary friend?

  • @chelseagurl97

Sorry, but the seperation of church and state happened centuries ago for many countries and today in almost all countries religion has NO SAY in the law or how it's implemented. What religious clerics demands means zip today. There are a few exceptions, theocracies like Iran and Saudi Arabia in which their law is derived directly from their Quran. Hence they are stuck with 7'th century justice and laws

And IF crminals burn in hell forever what point is there sending them early?

  • @McLarenMercedes The point of getting them executed speedily is to strike fear in the hearts of other would be killers.

Without Jesus Christ there would be NO Western Civilization or middle class as we know it.

Islam is false and foolish, and cannot seriously contend with the hearts of men, that is why they are stuck in the 7th Century.

  • @chelseagurl97

Isn't the fear of eternal torment in hell frightful enough?? What other deterrents could you possibly need? And the FACT remains if they end up there eventually and stay there forever what point is there sending them beforehand? Let your God do the judging and not you who kill when it is against God and the 10 commandements. And apparently neither this "fear" nor the death penalty works, because some people kill anyway. It seems this is a rather bad deterrent.

    A God of fear???

  • @chelseagurl97

Sorry but that is utter BS. The old Greeks were the ones founding "western civilization" with their science, philisophers and democracy. Long before Jesus. Here's the fact, the church held back SCIENCE for centuries, the rights of common people, women's rights (a very misogynisitic view of women in the Bible as natural sinners who deserve to be punished) and maintained the idea that kings were put there by God himself and therefore he could do as he please with them.

  • @chelseagurl97

Jesus himself was hardly born in a "western civilization" but in the Middle East. The next important step in the formation of western civilization was the Renaissance period in Italy in the 15'th century, where the most important step was the deminishing power of the church. You see this lead to a lot of new ideas challenging old outdated ideas held true by the church.

Jews were in fact the first to lend large sums of money and even if they were seen as heretics by Christians..

  • @chelseagurl97

...these "heritic jews" (who killed Jesus no less and therefore were thrown out of most European countries save for Spain) were the ones starting capitalism the way we know it. Without those "dirty, moneylending jews" we'd still be living in feodal societies today. If anything Christianity has held back the progress of Western civilization. "The Middle Class"?? Wasn't Jesus a man of the poor people?? What's will all that "the meek shall inherit the earth"? You don't believe it.

  • As a teenager I fired the Smith & Wesson 44 mag with 8 3/8 inch barrel just like in the movie. I also fired the Colt Python 357 mag 4 inch barrel. The Smith was like driving a ford LTD and the Python was like driving a Rolls Royce. The Python is truly a masterpiece.

  • I like how after Harry throws the Combat Shoot Off, and is standing all the way off the course! and trys out David Soul's 357 and Rips the Bad Guys Targets at Long Distance! and everyone is standing there going....What the Hell..???

  • After the spectator @ 4:22 says "that last one was a good guy", it looks like Harry is about to shoot HIM! lol

  • Don't give up on us, baby

Don't make the wrong seem right

The future isn't just one night

    It's written in the moonlight

    Painted on the-BBBOOOOMMMMM!!!

  • David Soul from Here Come the Brides and later found greater success after Magnum Force w/Starsky & Hutch Co-Starring Paul Michael Glaser

David Soul is a star thanks to Eastwood and the late Aaron Spelling

  • 1:30 We were in the middle of a coversation, dude. lol.

  • @controversyking,

Sudden Impact is IMO the second best Dirty Harry movie, with the original as the best one.

  • some of those are freakin headshots lol.

why does david soul say "you get used to it" when harry says he pulled the last shot?

  • @BigAgitator Sweet (The guy played by Tim Matheson) shot Harry's .44 Magnum and got 5 out of 6 on in a grouping, and he says "It's a little heavy for me, I missed one". Harry's response "You'll get used to it.."

  • Harry is one of the most badass cops ever!

  • "I can see how you would at that"

  • TWO WORDS "Chris Costa"

  • The caggy vet that Harry Callahan was, he missed on purpose with Davis' 357 magnum in this scene then later returned to the range & retrieved that bullet for ballistics then found out that Davis was part of a conspiracy along with those other 3 rookie cops & Lt. Briggs. This was an incredible follow up to "Dirty Harry", the original in this series. CLASSIC!!!

  • @ectigers83 Not to confuse you or anyone else but harry deliberately missed with his own gun so he could borrow davies' gun in order to retrieve the bullets.

  • I think it goes like this:

    "You get used to it."

    "I see how you would."

  • what was the very last line harry said to the guy?

    "I can see how......" What?

    Thanks

  • if i told you it would ruin the movie. lets just say there is a reason Harry missed and for his smart ass remark that you will discover when you watch the movie. it's a great film. Not as good as Dirty Harry but close.

  • Thanks. I watched the movie and it made perfect sense. Pretty good movie. I love his remark about rookies when david soul dies.

  • @BigAgitator 'Briggs was right. You don't have enough experience.'

  • He said "you get used to it" and harry replied "i can see how you would"

  • I could see how you would, yah!

  • I've always had a thought "Dirty Harry is the best of the series. This movie is a very close second.

  • He embedded the last shot into the wood so he could retrieve it later to do a ballistic match. Great post, great movie series.

  • klassik scene ....klassik dirty harry movie!!!

  • The best part of this movie was when Callahan descrobed the law enforcement version of the .44 Magnum (lead semi-wadcutter that is NOT full power).

  • yes, I know, but that defeated the concept of having a "magnum" revolver-so I think that was a bit of an error in the film to be honest

  • If they wanted to be historically correct, he would have had a S&W Model 58 M&P chambered in .41 Rem Mag. This gun and caliber was used by SFPD from the mid 60s-early 70s. But, they just had to have the .44 Rem Mag.

  • David Soul had the coolest gun in this movie, a .357 Colt Python.

  • I used to have one-nice, very nice.Rolls Royce of revolvers

  • As late as 1990 Remington had 240grain "police style" loads (@1150 fps) that were semi-wadcutter. For visual effects reasons some promotional pics were done using a Model 25 .45 Colt to make the bore more impressive in scope.

  • I remember seeing used Pythons in great shape in the 1990s for as low as $399-$499. Those were the days. You could also find like new used Model 28 and 27 guns rfor great prices as well.

  • @TargetGuy2245 He also used the Colt Python (albeit with a longer barrel) in the later 3 seasons of Starsky & Hutch

  • @TargetGuy2245 David Soul had an unfair advantage on Dirty Harry Callahan as he had many years experiance aiming his "Python" at all of the woman in his life and beating them with it as well.

  • another great film, just brilliant

  • pwnd

  • David Soul is so cool in this movie.

'You heroes have killed a dozen people this week. What are you going to do next week?

    'Kill a dozen more'. Class!

  • I love the irony when Harry shoots the cop during the competition.

  • Who would win in a fight bullit or dirty harry

  • Bullitt was a midget

  • I just posted a spoof of a classic Dirty Harry scene on my barnd new channel (more to come.) If you like Clint eastwood and Dirty Harry and movie spoofs, please check it out!

  • Geek's got some skills.

  • Harry loses on purpose because he wants to test the bullets from the other guy's gun.

  • You know, he could've just ask.

  • @PereUbu86 Is that actually what happens ? Heck I've seen this film countless times and never figured that for myself lmao. Love the Dirty Harry series... (Y)

  • From M 44 1973 [01] to M 44 1973 [12] you can see the entire movie!

  • animal house "The winning score>"

  • put the whole movie up for god sake.

  • Great movie one of my favorites. Wow look at the young faces of Robert Urich and Tim Matheson.

  • @brads62 Matheson went on to do Animal House and Robert Urich did his tv detective series of Vega$ and Spencer For Hire.

  • @DC322 And also S.W.A.T.

  • 2:02 jeffrey dahmer

  • wasthat a Colt Python,"4 blued?

  • Yes David Soul appears to be holding a 4" Python.

  • It's nice!but some say that is even better than S&W .357's...are they more expensive in America?

  • The Colt Python is Colt's crown jewel of revolvers, I haven't priced them in many years, but they are very expensive.

As far as being "better" than a comparable Smith, no, not really. The Python has a buttery-smooth trigger pull and fantastic deep blue finish, but a N-frame Smith & Wesson will hold up better with a lot of heavy use. The Pythons have always had a reputation for getting out of time if shot a lot.

  • Thanx a lot for the info!herein Argentina S&W are less expensive than comparable Taurus and Ruger's guns...it's vene less expensive to buy a Model 29 than a Taurus Raging Bull or a Beretta 92FS...I've heard this is the other way about around there...

  • Indeed it is the other way around, I'm suprised. I've owned three Taurus auto pistols, bought my first one over 20 years ago, and think they make a great gun. Here in the US Taurus's are less expensive than the American made guns, and it's common to find people who mistakenly think they are a "junk" brand. I've found them to be very high quality.

  • Yes,I tried a 8" Raging Bull and a .38 snubnose and they had a nice double action,really fast and accurate..anyway I like model 29 :) It's a gun to enjoy shooting,not just a shooting device as a Glock for example..they're good,but this is nicer :)

  • This is why the Python was best used as a target revolver in .38 SPL. Colt actaully had a Python that was exclusiveky chambered in .38 SPL for a limited time. I saw one used 15 years ago.

  • Comment removed

  • Was it standard nickel plated or the electroless?

  • Comment removed

  • Electroless nickel finish has a matte (flat) appearance and traditional nickel is glossy.

  • Comment removed

  • @barflewk I am a bit torn between the .44 Mag and the .357 Mag.

  • @DC322 I was in the same situation and ended up getting the 44 mag. I'm very happy with it.... very happy. I do lust after a .357. If I could only have one, i'd choose the 44. If I was going to carry more often than i do, i'd get the .357

take a peek at my .44 if you get a chance

  • Yes, a Colt Python in .357 magnum. Four inch, blued to perfection and with a trigger that is so crisp it defies description.

That is why the Colt is better tham a smith or a taurus or ruger or an astra.

American workmanship of the time period, this has been discounted and put to rest. That is sad, America once stood for something. now Amerika is a tool of the fascist puppets tha prey upon the life of the people.

  • How old are you?

    10?

  • you should put the air plane scene on youtube.
