The original is amazing but the live aspect brings a strong frank expression (usually does) but with this song it's like he's pouring his soul into the air. Makes me feel like singing this at the top of my lungs in the street sometimes ... when this song gets back into my head.

Only English bands can creat this feeling no matter what...and I don't intend to be disrespectful to bands from other parts of the world.I'm a music lover and from each culture I take all the jewels.Britain shows me a fragile fist,happy and sad..."eyes they stay open wide"...I just love the way he says it...I'm sure with eyes closed.

Another great 'b' side from the verve, any1 know if there was a story bout this song from ashcroft? even tho so many will relate to it in different ways.

It's not a b-side. This was the final track on the Verve's first album "A Storm in Heaven". Supposedly, this was one of the very first songs Richard wrote on his own, and the first Verve song he played guitar on.
