  • okay so my question is - whats the music playing? Any name for the 'song'?

  • I love the drums sound.

  • how does krav maga compare to this ?

  • My gun would take both of them down!

  • These are some bad ass nerds!

  • people who think one art is better than another is a stupid kid who knows noting about Martial Arts. The art doesn't matter, it is the person practicing it.

  • They teach that in our school. o.e

  • Couldn't you combine Kali fighting techniques with two arming swords to become more lethal?

  • @TheSkyIsBrown the sticks represent swords

  • search "latrago kali" on youtube to get a sense of how it started

  • Love the Filipino arts.. thanks for posting.

  • Talk about overkill... cutting every single major artery in one go is a quick ticket to prison, lol :D

  • I wish there were more Kali schools then Karate and Shit Kwan Do. I meen Karate is so stiff, same with Tae Kwan Do, with Kali there is rythem, grace, and efficentcy. And you learn omega faster than karate. Also IT IS THE BEST STICK/KNIFE martial arts even though it is a knife art. I meen most weopon systems go for the head or body, we go for the hands, then head.

  • @Kirillcankicker like I said to dondappa85, not about the martial art. It's the practitioner who is deadly.

  • i wonder where to learn here in the philippines.....

  • Excellent.

  • really great. Your clip demonstrates so much skill

  • Nice stuff here ... thanks for sharing!

  • krav maga is created in the 1900s. kali was practiced way back pre-colonial times. urdaneta, the scribe of the spanish expedition in the philippines, wrote that an island chief demonstrated to them an exhibition of kali.

  • I like this sorta like krav maga in that its not all show and flashy. Its about being as fast and effective as humanly possible to win.

  • in practicing this filipino martial should it be no protective gears because that is how you deal with it. . . .if you study a real combat, first you must study to deal the pain. . .look how manny paqciao trains, sticks were used to beat his body for him able to resist any pains

  • @sUiCiDaLxXxcRiMiNaL

100% agree that's how I train as well but lets be honest who is really gonna do that other than a few hardcore realists most people want to do martial arts so they can feel better about them self and not to actually use it. Otherwise everyone would demand the most practical and realistic training.

  • do people still fight with sticks in the streets of the philippines?

  • I think so

  • some people do. carrying sticks is legal in the PI

  • yes! until now since not everybody is allowed to carry a firearm the community watchmen or tanods as we call it, patrol the streets all night long to promote peace and order in some areas that lacks police visibility and sometimes they encounter some lawless characters and my respects to all of them! mapasalamaton! LSK

  • yes and most esp knives and broken bottles or anything near the grasp of fighters...chairs, steel bars, wood planks, even a fork!

  • partly, yes. barangay tanods or neighbordhood policemen are not allowed to carry firearms, only sticks.

  • I love how they use the Punyo for disarms, takedowns and chokes! very proficient!

  • damn, the knife fighting was sick

  • They all looked like nerds with those glasses.

  • yes, but theyre nerds that can kick your ass lol

  • i would like to know how they made the dummy? looks like a cool practice tool.

  • I love this martial art.fuck karate!

  • why fuck karate?

  • because karate is nothing compared to this

  • @dondappa85 - It's not about the martial art. It's about the guy doing the martial art.

  • Wow, this video brought back a lot of memories from when I was younger. The training, sparring, and competitions we used to do. Thanks!!

  • ive also noticed that alot of these guys wear saftey glasses when they are doing drills. thats a good precaution.

  • im a member of LVAAA..and its arnis too..more likely mixed..aikido and arnis..

  • is there anyplace that has this in otario?

  • if you mean ontario, then yes. All you really have to do is google "kali ontario" or arnis ontario" or something like that. Ive visted alot of websites of kali schools in ontario

  • thats y...in ninja arts japanese are famous... in thaijutsu art thailand... but in chakra control and ninja weapons... filipinos are the best...we dont use knife... we use kunai...specially in our clan... thats how they distinguish our ranking. im an anbu assasination squad member... we wear long back zakkat

  • kipzaren you are so sweet, you reflected how I was at 7-8 years old.. wish you grow up with same enthusiasm and power of imagination

  • hahaha tnx lmao

  • imagine if they were using machetes instead of sticks... >!

  • then get ready for a blood bath

  • if you had a machete and they had a stick they would still kill you

  • and if i had an 9mm ?

  • 21 foot rule buddy....

  • SAYOC KALI ROCKS¡¡¡

  • i heard sayoc kali was awesome. i think that they were doing some of the fight sequences on that move " the hunted".

  • yea they used some Sayoc Kali techniques in the Movie Hunted... my training center offers me Sayoc courses, hope to take them when i have toe time for it

  • very gud..

  • That was really cool looking class.
