I'm creating an MIB timeline here. First off, I assume this is a different canon from the movies, since K hasn't retired, L is blonde, and no mention of Alpha is made in the movies.

In this episode, it is revealed 20 years back, Alpha went rogue. In another episode, it is revealed that 30 YEARS back, Alpha convinced an invading species to "try again later", cause Zed stumbled on their operation. Meaning Alpha might have been more corrupt than previously believed.

In the Episode "The Head Trip Syndrome" (here, with the wrong title "I Married an Alien Syndrome"), it is revealed that there were 4 original MIB agents. Agent K was NOT yet an agent, yet here we already see gentlemen dressed in black, notably, the dude who took the picture. Agent K eventually joins the MIB, and becomes the 5th original agent.

I assume this means MIB already existed, which means Alpha is the original "grand pooba". Perhaps Alpha is not an 'agent' but a desk man, similar to Zed.

Yet in another episode ("I Married an Alien Syndrome"), it is revealed by Jay that K was with the MIB from the beginning, "longer than Zed, or the twins". This is either a rumor (L's face might state otherwise) or is the truth. Which means if there's one Agent who's appearance is questionable, it would be ZED. Perhaps he came in later than K, but had better leadership skills, whereas K had better aiming skills. Season 3 implies that when Zed joined, Alpha was still with MIB.

So, here's what I think happened: > Alpha started MIB (30++ years before the series). > Alpha convinces Vangus to try again later (30 years before the series). > Agents T, H, Q, D join, forming the system of MIB (the original 4). > Shortly after, young Agent K sees aliens, has his picture taken, joins MIB. > Zed joins. > Alpha reveals his true colors (20 years before the series). > Zed takes over as Chief. > J joins MIB (Before the series). > The series takes place. What do you guys think?

David Warner is one of the best voice actors in the business! What i don't understand is if there were five original agents in the series, how did Alpha start the MIB? How could he have been the boss of an organization that wasn't around until Kay and the others met the Balshons all those decades ago? I doubt it was a retcon.

@Futurevoiceactor There may have been an organization around that observed aliens on Earth before the MiB, and Alpha was the leader. So those 5 guys founded the modern-day MiB and joined with Alpha.

@Futurevoiceactor The five original agents consisted of Kay, astronomer, and 3 agents from an underfunded organization that monitored the sky for alien life. Alpha was the head of that organization that later became MIB. Kay was too young so he probably didn't join MIB untill years later.
