I also study Swordmanship and have done for sometime.
I noticed though...........It does not claim to be swordmanship but just a performance.
Its still good and yes it also helps keep the spirit ofthe culture and heritage many Samurai laid there lives in battle to their successor to learn so he could adapt .
I'm pretty sure this is just theatrical Japanese swordsmanship. Its meant to look cool, but it does not take a realistic or historically accurate approach to actual Japanese swordsmanship. Look at how far back the instructor deflects the sword of an incoming strike. Physically that's not possible in a real fight, and he body merely rotates in a position that doesn't change to avoid the line of the attack.
impressive..... i dont see that ure spirit is on fire! i think you are a great teacher

yea, agreed...
I like the show but don't like when the audience sees too much of it and gets unrealistic expectations... =(
like here in america

possibly so.
The music sounds like the kodo taiko drummers or Joji Hirota & Taiko Drummers.
The Swordsman could actually be the ones who helped or doubled in the movie 'The Last Samurai'.....
The movements are very simular.
