The other day a friend of mine said, he said the sun's not really yellow, he said the sun is really red I said, my friend what do you mean, You read that in some magazine, Next thing you'll say the earth's not green How can I be sure of you, when you know, The world's always changing, rearranging, Always changing, changing I said my friend how do you do, And what you're saying isn't true, The next thing you'll say the earth is blue
I can't believe it I've just celebrated my 72nd birthday and I've just discovered Harry Nilsson for crying out loud - what planet have I been on? I love him to bits and I'm going to listen to him everyday until my end.
They publicly stated he was their favourite artist; the admiration was mutual. He also later became close friends with Lennon, who produced one of his albums.
OMG! The song is great!!! But I'm sure, I've heard it in another movie too... [in scene, where someone was murdered i believe...] and it seemed pretty odd to me... the song and the scene has nothing in common and that was ironic... Please!!! if anyone has idea bout the movie... Share it ;]]]
@queenymax damn! I totally agree about A GOOD YEAR. The movie just passed under the radar of everyone without a flinch and it happens to be exceptional.
ugly video? bad taste? hmmm....seems more to me that it's bad taste to criticize someone who spent so much time putting this together and placing another amazing Nilsson song on the internet...I share the same opinion of critics that Neil Young has always had...who needs them!
To all of you fans. Please note that this song, whilst a great performance by Nilsson is not a song he wrote. The composers where Pete Ham and Tom Evans from the great British band BadFinger. They also wrote Harry's biggest hit Without You
ok - badfinger wrote "Without You", not "How can i be sure of you" (unless ur referring to other post) in fact the verses to this are same as Nilsson's "Good for God". sounds like thats what this song eventually became.
WHat a great song; Nilsson certainly had a knack for creating unusual melodies and chord patterns. This generation's songwriters should study his songs and break out of the 3/4 chord mode most of them seemed to be locked in.
A very hard-to-find swee treasure of a song by the late GREAT Harry Nilsson! Thank you very much for making this available to YouTube listeners. I thought you did a nice job with the video too, putting together a diverse collage of various images (the black cat especially an adorable touch!). This song is available on iTunes and as a bonus track on Harry's smash-hit album "Nilsson Schmilsson." The piano work is catchy and powerful. The vocals heartfelt and solid. Meaningful lyrics. Terrific! A+!
A great friend and this song makes me miss him big time. I was in the fifth grade, 1965, at the ripe old age of 10, when a 20ish year old Harry a friend of my teachers came in and sang a freaking song.

Not just gifted. Unique and airy and maybe something fragile. Why are such artists fragile?

Very Artistic Video. I get it. Ignore the negative criticism. When you are an artist you get used to it. (i.e. "everyone's a critic").

no, i think the random juxapositions are a good counterpoint to the song...in a bizzare way blaurape got it just right...
